{The Place to be Happy is Here...}

Good morning and welcome to another week at Cupcake Inspirations! This weeks inspiration picture is beautiful, and oh so yummy:

 Our sponsor this week at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #104 is "Paper Pretties" and they are graciously giving away 1 free stamp set for the challenge this week!

My card for the challenge this week features a stamp set from Stampin' Up! called "Garden Whimsey".  I used A•Muse Studio pigment inks to achieve the pretty dual tone color on the tulip blossoms. I stamped them three times on the paper, and then twice on another sheet of card stock. I cut two of them out with paper snips and added attached them with foam dots. The patterned paper is from the Cosmo Cricket Material Girl collection. To finish off the card I machine stitched around the card and added blingy brads to the corners.  If you get a chance this week we would love for you to join us at Cupcake Inspirations!

{Simply Create Challenge #40}

Good Evening! I was one of the lucky few chosen to be on the Simply Create Challenge Blog design team! Super fun!!   Our challenge this week was to try something new. My something new was using a digital background stamp, and using a line of rhinestones. For my card I used a digital "Friends Definition" digital background stamp from Hero Arts. The background stamp is from A*Muse stamped in Blackberry Ink. I used the SU ribbon scallop punch on black, and crumb cake card stock and then layered them. I stamped the floral image and cut it out and used foam dots to add dimension.  I finished off the card with ribbon (it matches much better in person) a line of rhinestones and machine stitching. We would love it if you play along with us this week at Simply Create! I am playing along with the following challenge today!

{One of My Nicest Thoughts}

Oh my goodness I can't believe it is Friday already! Yay for weekends! This week was a busy one for me so I didn't have a lot of card making time. Today the boys took a nap at the same time so Mommy finally had some "me" time. My card today features a Hero Arts Owl Digital Stamp. I colored him with Pro-Markers, and used Glassy Glaze to make his eyes pop a bit. I used patterned paper from Cosmo Cricket Joy Ride,  and Jillybean Soup Dutch Mustard collections. I used the Fiskars Threading Water scallop punch and my Janome Sew Mini for the stitching. I finished off the card with twill ribbon from the Offray ribbon outlet, and a button from BasicGrey. The sentiment is from A*Muse. Today I am playing along with a few challenges:

{Sweet Sunny Sunday}

Good morning friends! I hope that you have been enjoying your weekend. Today at the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge  we are celebrating spring with a beautiful, sunny yellow, cupcake inspiration picture!

 This week Cupcake Inspirations is being sponsored by Heather Ellis creator of the adorable "Pure Innocence" images.  This was my first time to use one of her images, and I know I will be using them again because they are so darn cute, and fun to color!
For my card I used DSP from the SU Brights paper pack and from the Jillybean Soup Mustard collection. I colored the image with Copics, and Promarkers. I love these images because they are perfect for paper piecing! I finished off the card with stitching, a polka dot flower and my favorite new embellishment, bakers twine. The sentiment is from A *Muse | Studios.  I hope that you will play along with us at Cupcake Inspirations this week!

Today I am playing along with a handful of challenges:

{A Day of Blessings}

 Good Afternoon friends and visitors! I hope that this St. Patricks Day has brought you lots of luck, and everything else good that life has to offer. Today's card features stamps from the A*Muse Studios Creative Consultant Kit stamp assortment that features stamps from several different stamp sets in the A*Muse Studios catalog. It is a great way to get started and be able to showcase cards in a variety of styles. For this card I used the Polka Dot background stamp from the "Polka Dot Patterns" stamp set and a floral sillouette stamp from the "Beautiful Botanicals" stamp set.  I stamped the dots in three different colors of ink, all of which came in my starter kit (I ordered the deluxe kit) lichen, fern and grass. Now one of the many things I have discovered from using these  pigment inks is that I can stamp on Georgia Pacific White card stock and still achieve a very nice stamped image because the card stock doesn't soak up the pigment ink like it does with the classic water based inks. Another money saver! Ok, back to the card, I stamped the floral image in french roast after I let the dots dry for about 10 seconds. Yeah, this is not your grandmothers pigment ink, it dries FAST! I stamped the sentiment from the set "Essential Sentiments", and  I finished off the card with machine stitching and a Making Memories button tied with SU linen thread. At first I thought that maybe I stamped too many dots, but after looking at it for awhile I think I like it! Thank you for visiting my blog, and remember if you have any questions about A*Muse Studios, would like to become a Consultant in my downline, or if you would like to put in an order please contact me at cardsbyronnie@yahoo.com  I am  offering 10% off your total orders to the first 10 customers!

Today I am playing along with lots of fun challenges, check em' out if you get a chance!

{Sweet Friends}

 Good Afternoon! I am really enjoying the beautiful spring weather we are having today, and I hope you are to! Today my card features a very sweet image from Pink Petticoat  that happens to be one of my favorite digi image shops! This stamp and sentiment set is called "Sweet Treats". I colored the image with Pro-Markers, Copics, and Bic-Markits. Love having all that color! The patterned paper is from the Echo Park "Springtime" collection, and the SU Brights patterns pack. I used a Martha Stewart punch for the lacey border, and machine stitched the edges to add a little texture. I added a bakers twine bow,  and a little bit of bling next to the sentiment. And finally I used Glassy Glaze and sprinkled it with Dazzling Diamonds to add more sparkly goodness to my card. Today I am playing along with several challenges!

{Just a Note}

 Good Afternoon! I know I mentioned this on a post last week but I wanted to officially announce my newest venture, I am one of the new A*Muse Studios Design Consultants! A lot of you know I was a demo for another stampin' company for several years but that ended last Fall. A couple of weeks ago when the big news was announced that A*Muse would be a direct sales company I took a peak at the catalog just to see what they were all about and fell in love, and I totally mean that. The stamps are so much more my style.  I received my starter kit on Friday and finally had a chance to sit down and make a card and today I am going to share a few of those with you! I love the color choices A*Muse has and honestly was not sure if was going to like pigment ink pads, but oh my GOSH they are amazing. When you stamp with these ink pads the image or sentiment is a deep solid color which is perfect for stamping sentiments on patterned paper as you can see from my card above. Ok, anyways, let me finish my "schpeel" by encouraging you to take a look at the catalog, and sets (which also happen to be very well priced) and let me know what you think! Here is the catalog link:   A*Muse | Studio Catalog

         For my card above, and the cards below I used A*Muse stamps and paper.  On my card above I used a Spellbinders Impressibilities die, and a Cuttlebug "Romance" collection embossing folder. A*Muse is white core paper so you can emboss, and then sand with a distressing block for a very nice shabby chic look. Love that! I used an EK Success border punch for the strip behind the main image, and a strip of vintage lace I had on hand. The flowers are also from A*Muse and started out as white and with a make up sponge I daubed ink from the Sky, and Ocean pigment ink pads. I love the end result! If you would like to be an A*Muse | Studios Design Consultant the starter kits are a fabulous deal right now, only $99 , regularly $175. Totally worth the money, even if you just want the great product deal! Let me know if you would like to sign up, I'll be happy to answer any questions you might have!

{Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #102}

Hello and welcome to another challenge at Cupcake Inspirations! This week we are being sponsored by "Doodle Pantry" and that is where the pretty little row of flowers on my card came from! I colored the flowers with Copics and Promarkers and I used SU pastels for the blue sky. The little clouds, and sentiment are from A*Muse Studio, so cute!! The DSP is from Martha Stewart, and I finished off my card with a little machine stitching. I used the same layout on today's card that I did for yesterday's card but it just worked out that way. The grass was cut with my Cricut, and SCAL, and then I ran it thru my Fiskars crimper to add some texture. I will definitely try that one again because I love the way it turned out! As always thank you for visiting my blog today and please play along with us at Cupcake Inspirations, we would love to have ya! Have a great Sunday!

{One of a Kind}

   Lately I have read alot of chatter about using stamps that have been neglected for a long time because of trying to keep up with the latest and greatest trends out there. Now I admit I love using new stamps but I also have several stamp sets that I will never get rid of. These cute little bears come from an ollllld SU set "Teddy Bear" that is one of those sets, "keepers". My set is so old it was mounted on foam instead of wooden blocks! Funny. Anyways, about my card. Using my Stamp-a-majig I stamped the bear 3 times on one piece of card stock and once on another.  I colored them with Promarkers and blender pens with SU classic ink. I cut out the third bear and added foam squares for a nice 3-d effect. The sentiment is from Hero Arts. The patterned paper is from the SU Brights paper pad, and the rosettes are from Michael's "Recollection" collection. The cute ruffled ribbon is from Hobby Lobby. I love that it matches the ballerina tu-tu's SO well. So darn cute.  Today I am playing along with a handful of challenges:

{So Lucky to Have You}

Welcome to Pink Cat Studio's St.Patty's Day release! I was chosen to be a Guest Designer to help celebrate this weeks release. These adorable images are sure to bring a smile to anyone that is "lucky" enough to receive a card with one of these cuties on it! If you buy the set, today only (March 10th) you will receive the "Pixie on Clover" image Free! Here is the card I created using the Bitty Betty digi stamp:

Isn't she a cutie? I colored her with Pro-Markers and a Target dollar spot gold glitter pen. The patterned paper is from DCWV (bottom clover pattern), and Martha Stewart (top polkadot pattern). I machine stitched around the card, and added twill ribbon from Cosmo Cricket, and Twine from "The Twinery". The sentiment was created by yours truly, (me). The embossed, and distressed golden card stock layer was embossed using the new Cuttlebug "Preserves" embossing folder collection. Finally I finished off the card with a cute button flower from Making Memories. Today I am playing along with a few challenges:

{Happy Day}

Hello and welcome to my blog today! Today's card was a labor of love for sure, it took me ALL day. I was only able to work on it for a few minutes at a time but this evening when DH got home I was able to finish it. My card features an adorable stamp set from Stampin' Up! called "Picnic Parade". This is the first time I have ever used this set. Sad I know, such a cute set , but it is a labor intensive one since you pretty much have to cut each piece out. I colored the critters with Pro-Markers. The cute patterned paper is from the Jillibean Soup "Dutch Mustard" collection. The sky background is an old piece of patterned paper I've had for years. I cut the grass border out with my Cricut, and SCAL software and then I sponged it with SU Old Olive ink to add some definition. I am so happy with the way my card turned out! Today I am playing along with a few challenges:

Wee Memories Challenge #46 - Woodland Friends

{Cupcake Inspirations #101}

Good Morning and welcome to another exciting week at Cupcake Inspirations Weekly Challenge! This week we are being sponsored by "Paper Garden Projects". They have beautiful images and are definitely worth checking out if you have never taken a look at what they have to offer.  This week 1 lucky winner will receive a $20 store credit to Paper Garden Projects! This week our inspiration picture was this beautiful and springy cupcake:

I used a beautiful daffodil image from PGP and printed it on a piece of Basicgrey Wisteria collection patterned paper. I then colored it with inks and blender pens. I machine stitched around the border and distressed the edges. I finished off the card with half pearls from Coordinations. I hope that you will play along with us this week at Cupcake Inspirations!

{Keep Trying, Keep Trying, Don't Give Up}

Well, if any of you have small children, then you have probably seen an episode or two of "Yo Gabba Gabba". The title of my blog today is a song from YGG that gets stuck in my head for days whenever I hear it. lol  The words ring true today....I did not have any cards picked up in the PC Magazine "Go To Sketch" edition card call. It hurts the pride I admit, and briefly made me question whether or not "I've got it". But after I lick my wounds for a few hours my love of paper crafting overshadows the pangs of rejection and I start thinking about my next card. =0) Today I am  posting one of my "rejects". I used paper from the new Jillibean Soup collection "Dutch Mustard". Aren't the colors fun? I used sketch #69. I made the flower using basic heart shapes that I glued to a 1" circle punch. I still love this card, and will keep trying, and for my fellow paper crafters, keep trying, don't give up!

     On a much happier note though I am extremely pleased to announce that I was chosen to be Pink Cat Studio's Guest Designer for the St. Pattie's day Digi stamp release!!  Yay me, and thank you Melissa for the honor of representing  PCS!

   And I can't believe I forgot to mention this super exciting news, I signed up this week to be one of the very first A|Muse Creative Consultants! If you have not checked out the new catalog here is a link:
