Welcome to My Favorite Things Summer School Day 5! The final lesson for this session of design school is Quiet Space/White Space.
Quiet Space/White Space – “White space” stays in the background to make the focal point or the sentiment the unabashed star of the show. And it doesn’t necessarily have to be white
Here is my take on today's lesson:
I don't usually make cards with a lot of white, but it is nice to keep it simple every once in awhile. I created the Grapesicle butterflies by using a reinker, a watercolor brush and watercolor paper. I diecut the butterflies after the ink dried. It is difficult to see in the picture but the butterflies have a lovely "mottled" finish .
Be sure to visit the MFT Blog to see the full lesson, and a list of all the design team members joining in for today's lesson. Also, don't forget to do your homework for today's lesson giving you a chance to win sweet prizes! Thanks so much for stopping by!

This is so pretty! I am in love with that soft gray inking!
Gorgeous, Veronica, love the little background behind your beautiful butterflies!
Very pretty. Those butterflies are soft and look like they could fly right off your card. And I love the subtle background you've created - it's a perfect compliment. So sweet. Bev
