Sisters Part 2
I have been using so many bright colors in my cards lately I thought I would tone it down a bit and use softer colors, and some of the SU DP that I have had for over a month and not used yet. Actually I forgot that I had it. Sad, sad I know. This card is a simple one using a classic sketch. The sentiment says " A sister is a gift to the heart, a friend to the spirit, a golden thread to the meaning of life." I love this because of the wonderful relationship I have with both of my sisters. I do not know where I would be without them. Thank you for coming to my blog today!

Thank You Card For My Sister!
As you can see I am having so much fun with my Changito Monkey Stamps! I have to admit when I first saw them last year some time I was not too jazzed about them, but after seeing so many cute cards on blogs, and at SCS I decided to buy a few of them for myself! I made this card for my big sister as a thank you for a beautiful cross stitch that she made Cameron, and for two adorable outfits that she bought for him also. My sis loves turquoise so I made this card with her favorite colors in mind! Thank you so much for coming to my blog today!

Monkey Birthday!
I loved making this card! I finally used one of my Changito the Monkey stamps that I bought at Hobby Lobby. Those monkey's are so cute! I also used my new Cuttlebug folder "Distressed Stripes". To me that folder looks like the fabric chenille so the possibilities with this folder are endless! I colored the image with my prismas and gamasol. I need a lot more practice but I really like the rich color you get with prismas. I hope you like my card and I thank you for checking out my blog!

Little Bit of Sunshine!
This is a very simple card that I made last night. I've seen several cards made in this way and decided to try it for myself. I love the simplicity of this card and I think the bright cheery yellow would brighten anyones day! I ordered 3 bottles of dew drops and received them this week. I couldn't wait to use them on a card! I think I may have found my new favorite embellie. I hope everyone has a great weekend!!

House Mouse Birthday Cards!
While on vacation in Texas I was able to go to a Hobby Lobby and lucky for me they were having a 50% off stamp sale on all stamps so I picked up two House Mouse stamps! I absolutely love this image of the mouse blowing out a candle on a cupcake. So cute! So I made a few cards with different embellies, and color combos and here they are! In the first card I used my prismas and mineral spirits to color in the image. On the other two cards I used my pastels and aqua painter. On all three cards I used stickles to accent the cupcake frosting. I had so much fun making these cards! I hope that everyone has a nice weekend!

My little chubbykins
I know this is a card-making blog, but today I had to share a picture of my 4 1/2 month old son Cameron!! This is a picture of Cam right after a bath. So far he isn't too thrilled about bath time but he has gotten better about it and no longer cries. I love this little guy so much and just wanted to share a picture of my greatest joy. Thank you for coming to my blog today!!

Fun with Stickles!
With spring finally here I have been inspired to make cards that are bright and sunny! It may be difficult to tell from the pic but I used stickles to outline the large flower, and to fill in the small flowers in the sentiment. I am still loving my new Cuttlebug backgrounds! The rest of the card is pretty much self explanatory. I LOVE this time of year. I have a neighbor that has the most beautiful tulips. I was suffering from morning sickness this time last year so I didn't get many flowers planted aside from a couple rhododendron and some dianthis. I plan on going to Lowes to buy some annuals to replant my front porch planters! I hope everyone is having a great week so far. Thank you for coming over to check out my blog!

Back From Vacation!!
This is another card I made using my Cutietoots rubber stamps! I LOVE the sentiment on this card and I have to admit I get a little misty eyed when I read because I think of my own new little someone. I am sorry that my blog has been neglected for the past week. We went to Texas and Oklahoma to visit family. It was a great visit but as always after a vacation it is nice to be home. While I was in TX I went to a Hobby Lobby. I wish we had those out here in VA. maybe someday! While I was there they had all of their rubber stamps at 50% off so I picked up a couple House Mouse stamps, and Changito the Monkey. I can't wait to make a few cards with my new stamps! I also picked up lots of other Stampin goodies on my trip. I hope that everyone has a GREAT week! I'm taking Cam to his 4 month check up today so wish me luck. (Shots....my poor baby.)

If the Halo Fits!
I can't believe it is Wednesday already! This week has flown by. It is scary how fast time seems to be going by these days! Cam was in a happy mood today so I got to play in my card room for awhile today. I've seen so many square cards the past couple of months I thought I'd try one to. I got to use some of my new ribbon from Michael's! I am trying so hard not to go back and buy more ribbon. I used my SU set "If the Halo Fits". It is such a cute set! I also used Water Color paper for the first time ever! I hope everyone is having a good week. The weekend is almost here!

Ribbon, Ribbon, and More Ribbon!
I have been on a ribbon buying spree this week! The stack of double stitched ribbon rolls are from Michael's and were only $1.00 a roll! The other rolls of ribbon are from American Crafts that I bought from Big Lots today. Next week I will be receiving an order of ribbon from Oriental Trading! I have enough ribbon to last a lifetime, but if you are anything like me you'll keep buying it anyways.

Baby Showers!
My friend Tonya and I are throwing a double baby shower for two of our friends that are both having baby girls! Both friends already have daughters, but we wanted to throw them a shower anyways! I found the perfect poem online and re-worded it to fit the occasion. I was so happy to find the new Fiskers "Threading Water" punch at Target this week! I am very pleased with the way the invites turned out. I hope everyone is having a Happy Spring! Hints of spring have finally started to show up in the Shenandoah Mountains. (My backyard). I love this time of year!
