I attended the Great American Scrapbook Convention with some great friends this weekend and had a wonderful time! I had never been that far from my baby boy since he was born so that was a big step for me. Cam had a great time with Daddy so now I know that Cam can make it without me for a few hours. I bought some fun stuff at the convention, and one of my fav things is the turtle stamp from Inky Antics. My dear friend Rebecha and I split the cost (was a tad pricey, but I don't like to pay too much for single stamps so I'm sure the price was fine) and we are going to share him! This is the first card I made with that adorable turtle. I used my Prisma pencils, and gamsol to color the main image. The c/s and dp are SU, and I used my Fiskars Threading Water punch on the bottom scallop. The Happy Birthday sentiment was made by coloring the individual letters, and candles on the rubber stamp itself using my SU Markers. (Yes, it took me awhile to do that.) The ribbon is from Oriental Trading. And of course my most used stamp as of late is my SU grass stamp. hehe.
Ok, now onto business. I am sorry that I am late posting the winner today. Cam had his 6 month check up today and as usual the DR was late and it took us much longer then usual to get out of there. By the time we got home Cam was zonked out in his carrier but I moved him into his crib. When he woke up he helped me pick the winner of my blog candy!
Mochamama, you are the big winner! Congrats!!! Please send me an e-mail with your mailing address to alwaysctr@yahoo.com
Thank you to everyone for playing, and helping me celebrate my small blogging milestone. I appreciate all the sweet comments, I really do. Check back because I will have another blog candy contest when I reach 5,000!!

Your card is oh so cute, Veronica! I like the gamsol and pencil coloring. You did a great job. That happy birthday with the different colors looks great too! Fabulous card!
ReplyDeleteAnd I love how you chose your blog candy winner! So much cuter and more creative than a random number generator! He's a doll!
I agree with Paula, seeing your little guy picking out a number made me smile! Great idea!
