I just had to post a picture of Cam getting into his favorite place in my card room. He loves playing with my "alterable tins and boxes and as soon as he walks into the card room he makes a bee-line right to my alterables. Although I admit I purposely stack them on the bottom shelf so that he can have easy access to them. I love my little boy!
Now for my card. I bought the DCWV Christmas stack about a month ago and I have been using it on almost all of my cards. For this card I used the SU "Snowflake Spot", and So Many Scallops" stamp sets. I used silver embossing powder on the large snowflake, and I'm not sure if you can tell from the picture but I also used silver card stock that I picked up from Target. I have never used metallic paper but I think I will be using it on more of my Christmas cards because I love the look of it. I hope that all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We had a mess free dinner at Cracker Barrel, and I have to say it was one of the best T-Day dinners, and days we have ever had. Our first Thanksgiving as a family. I hope you all have a blessed weekend.

And now back to your regular scheduled program..
Wow, a week since my last post? Sorry about that! But, as you can see from the pictures there was a very good reason for my absence from the blogging world. I repainted my Craft Room! I took a piece of SU "River Rock" card stock and the paint dpt at good ol' Wal-Mart matched the color for me. I decided last week that I was tired of boring white, and since my table was downstairs from my Stamp-A-Stack I thought it would be a great time to do some painting. Here are the after pics:
I love, love how the room turned out. I also want to add that I did ALL of the painting and taping all by myself. Of course Joe was watching Cam while Mommy painted so it all worked out great. I plan on adding more pictures to my walls, and a dear friend of mine is going to make a vinyl wall quote that will be perfect for my room. I can't wait to get it, and put it on the wall!! I also love having everything so much more organized. I have way too many supplies that I know I will never use, so I definitely need to downsize. We may be getting a new computer this week so that might be going in my craft room to. Sa-weeet! I hope you are all having a great week!

Pink is the New Green and Red?
Well, when I think of Holiday colors, pink and black do not come to mind, but apparently someone at DCWV has a different opinion. Although I have to admit that after making this card, the colors have grown on me. For this card I used my SU "Big Deal" Alpha set, and the SU "Warm Words" set. This card has a fairly simple layout, and I staggered the "JOY" to add extra fun to the card. The ribbon is from the Offray Ribbon outlet. So cute! I hope that everyone has a wonderful, and warm day today! I also want to wish my little sister Valecia a very Happy Birthday. I love you lil' sis!

A Blogger Award and Santas Mailbox
I was given this blogging award from my sweet friend Kelly from her blog: http://craftingcreatively.blogspot.com/ ! Thank you so much for picking my blog to be one of your favorite blogs! I've seen your blog list and you have so many wonderful blogs posted. I am honored, and excited to have been given this award! Thank you Kelly!
I had a wonderful time at my Christmas Stamp a Stack on Friday. We stamped until about 10:30. There were some sleepy little ones, but it went so well! I plan on hosting one or two more S.A.S.'s before Christmas gets here! Since I had my craft table downstairs anyways, I decided to leave it there all weekend so I could be close to my hubby, and Cam. I made this mailbox yesterday using paper from this years DCWV Christmas Stack. I bought this mailbox from Target a few years ago and thought it would be so much fun to make a mailbox that would hold "letters to Santa" on Christmas Eve! I will help Cam write his letter this year, and maybe Santa will write him a letter back! I just love this time of year.

Season Of Friendship in Blue
The Stampin Up set "Season of Friendship" has become one of my new favorite sets! The coolest thing about this set is that it can be used for all seasons. The second coolest thing about this set is that it is SO simple to make beautiful cards! I have been on a blue kick lately and used the new blue In-Colors for this simple card. Be sure to check my blog tomorrow because the card I will be posting is definitely "different". Have a great evening!!

Baby It's Cold Outside!
I don't know what the temperature was for all of you today but it was down-right chilly here today! I know that winter is just around the corner. I'm not crazy about the cold, but I love staying inside wearing my cozy socks and sipping hot cocoa on a cold winters day. Because of the chill in the air I was inspired to make this card. I used very similar colors as yesterday's card but instead of "Night of Navy" I used Pacific Point. I love how the blue's go so well together. The stamp sets I used are from SU and they are "Snowflake Spot", and "So Many Scallops". I am having a Christmas Card "Stamp-a-Stack" at my house on Friday and I am so excited! We are going to be making some super cute cards. I wish you all could come over! Anywho, that's pretty much all that I have going on. I hope all of you are having a great week!

For My Sister
My little sister came out for a visit in October, and because she is so thoughtful and sweet she brought a stamp set I have wanted for a long time, "Edgy Eloquence". This set was in the Summer 2005 mini and I was a dumb dumb and forgot to order it! Anyways, the sentiment on this card is from that set. So true isn't it? Well, not everyday, but some days. I used DP from the SU hostess pack, and the colors are Night of Navy, Kraft, and Baja Blue. I think they go so well together! We don't have much planned today. Cam and I are both trying to recover from the weekend. Happy Monday!

Three Cheers For Friday!
Well, Friday is here once again. I love the weekends! We don't have any big plans for the weekend but I just might put up our Christmas tree! It's a little early, I know but I love this time of year and seeing all of the beautiful Holiday decorations brings a smile to my face.
I stayed true to the promise to myself and used chipboard on another card today! This card has a very simple layout but the ribbon adds such a festive touch. The main background paper is from SU, but I used Basic Grey paper to cover the chipboard. I used my SU scallop punch and perfect layers tool to make this simple card. I hope that everyone is having a wonderful Friday!

Two Days in a Row
I am proud of myself for posting two days in a row! Go me! Ok, on to the card. I loved making this card. I got the inspiration from a card in last years Paper Crafts Magazine. I love the chipboard star! I forget about all the chipboard I have so I am going to be making an effort to use it more often. For this card I used SU Holiday paper from two years ago. I want to use all of it up this season so that I won't feel bad for buying the DCWV Christmas stack. hehe The "Joy" stamp is from the SU set "Snowflake Spot". I am sad that this set retired, but that won't stop me from using it. I love that set! I can't believe that tomorrow is Friday. Have a great evening everyone!

It's Beginning to Look Alot Like Christmas!
Now that October has passed I am getting so excited fo the approaching Holiday season. I have been working on Christmas cards since early fall to build up my own card stash, and to have extras on hand in case anyone might want to buy a few to send out also. Truthfully I just love making them! For these cards I used paper from the new DCWV Christmas stack. I LOVE the papers in the collection and I know I will be using a lot of it in the next few months. One of the sets I used is from SU and is called "So Many Scallops". The Christmas Tree stamp is from the SU set "Perfect Presentation" and it was a Hostess set in last years catalog. The sentiment stamp is a Christmas set from Inkadinkado. I don't know if I have ever used pink in a Christmas card but this paper is just too cute! I hope all of you are having a wonderful week!
