Avery Elle New Release Blog Hop!

  Hello! I am thrilled, and frankly in awe to be here today joining the amazing Avery Elle Design Team for the February Release Blog Hop!  You should have arrived here from Chunyuan Wu's blog!


 Avery Elle is releasing four ADORABLE stamp sets, and today I am excited to show you a card I created using "Good Fortune".

  I stamped and colored the fortune cookie, and used an impression plate to give my cookie some texture. The take-out box was of my own design, and I am SUPER happy with the way it turned out! I added the handles using metal picture hanging wire.  I just love this stamp set!

To create my card I used The Craft's Meow set "Thanks Bee To Thee". It was a lot of stamping, but I love the end result!

Two Hearts, One Love - 7 Days of Valentine Projects Day #3

 Hi! Today I have a super easy card to show you that I created using a set from "I {Heart} Papers Mint Motif  "What A Card" set by Kimberly Crawford.  I embossed a piece of white card stock using an embossing folder from the Cuttlebug "Romance Collection". I stamped the sentiment 4 times and added two hearts that I stamped and cut out. Easy! 7 Days Of Valentine's Day #2 - Be Mine

  Welcome to day #2 of the 7 Days Of Valentine's Blog Hop! Today I am excited to show you a card I created using the Technique Tuesday Ali Edwards "Always Adore" stamp set that is PERFECT for Valentine card making, in fact I have a card published in the current issue of Paper Crafts magazine using this set! I stamped the main image using Cherry A Muse Studio pigment ink that I sprinkled with clear embossing powder and heat set. The chalkboard green background card stock is by Cor' Dinations. 7 Days of Valentine's - You Are The Sweetest!

The Contenders Blog Hop - The Sun Always Comes Out

Hello! Today I am playing along with The Contenders Blog  Hop hosted by the wonderful Annette Witherspoon.  Like everyone in this world of paper crafting that has submitted to magazines, sometimes you get cards picked up, and sometimes you don't.  Sadly this past call was a big fat goose egg "0" for me. Although I was fortunate to be one of 6 finalists picked by Paper Crafts Magazine for the Readers Choice so that did help with the sting a little bit. ;)  I am here to show you a card that I submitted that was not picked up. I loved this card, and that is what it is all about anyway...being happy, and creating. Here it is:

I used lots of Papertrey Ink goodness in the making of this card.  And the sentiment holds true, The Sun ALWAYS comes out again!

10 Minute Craft Dash - You And Me

 Back again!  I created this card before a stomach bug hit the Zalis House, so today, with everyone feeling better I finally have time to upload pictures and catch up on a few challenges!  I am excited to be playing along with this weeks 10 Minute Craft Dash!  Here is what I came up with, in record time I might add...  8:52

   Wplus9 is sponsoring this weeks challenge, and I have great love for Wplus9, so playing along was a pleasure! To create my card I used the Wplus9 stamp set "Sweet Nothings", and the Wplus9  "Love Notes" die set.  I knew trying to adhere the hearts from the envelopes would take more time then I had so I placed the love notes on a strip of washi tape. Papertrey Ink January Blog Hop - Stitches

Hello! I am happy to be playing along with this months Papertrey Ink Blog Hop! I was intrigued by the inspiration picture as soon as I saw it, and I knew I wanted to play along! Check it out:

Here is my card!

  I know there is a lot going on, but the look I was going for was vintage embroidery, which I LOVE. I started out by using "Stitches And Swirls" embossed in white. Next I gathered up several of my Fresh, and A Muse Studio pigment ink pads, 3 of each shade actually. Using a blender pen, and ink pad I began to color my flowers and leaves. This process took several coats of ink. I found it best to wait for the layer to dry a bit before adding the next shade. But, finally I felt I added enough color, and I added a black thread stitched border around my card. I added a sentiment from "Purls of Wisdom" that I double stamped on a Photo Finishers label.  I hope you like it!  I am entering this in the Moxie Fab World 75 Creative Card Challenge- Stamp your Own Background Paper Challenge!  Thank you for stopping by!

  I created this card using two stamp sets by Avery Elle   ""Lots of Love", and "All Occasions Tags".  This is also my first ever attempt at the ever so popular "chalkboard technique".  I created my polka-dotty background using washi tape, and to add a bit of extra texture I added a line of stitching on each stripe.I know that emerald green isn't your usual Valentine color but I *heart* the way this turned out! Today I am also playing along with The Moxie Fab World 75 Creative Card Challenge - Make Your Own Background Challenge!  Fun!! The Craft's Meow January New Release Preview Day #4 - Much Obliged

  Hello and welcome to day  #4 of The Craft's Meow January New Release Preview! Today we are featuring the stamp set "Many Thanks". This set features larger sized sentiments in several different fonts. So many possibilities! I decided to go with a "western" themed card using the "Much Obliged" sentiment from "Many Thanks". I also used a set that matches this sentiment perfectly, and includes a miniature version of the same sentiment "Giddy Up". I had fun with this card, and I hope you like it! The Craft's Meow January New Release Preview Day #3 - Woodgrain

Hello friends! I am here for day #3 of The Craft's Meow January Release Preview! Today I am giving you a peek of my favorite stamp sets from this release "Happy As A Lark" and "Lark Additions". First let me say woodgrain.  I love woodgrain, and this set has beautiful woodgrain elements that works for so many different occasions. I created two cards using these sets.  Above, a CAS card with just a few extra touches, stitching, and a button. And the card below, fun papers, and pink woodgrain and washi tape!
