{A Card For a Friend}

I have had a wonderful weekend and I am sad that it is coming to an end. I love it when my hubby is home and we are all together. I hope you have had a great weekend also.
For this card I used some old DP that I have had for awhile. I am really trying to hard to get thru my stash of DP (designer paper) so that I won't feel so bad for continually adding to the stack of DP I already have. I am sure a lot of you know exactly what I am talking about. =0) I used my Cricut Exp. to cut out the butterflies, and then I embossed them with 3 different Cuttlebug folders. I used the new SU border punch that you can get FREE during Stampin' Up!'s Sale-A-Bration sale. This punch will be in the new catalog that comes out in the summer. Sweet right? The pink background is another CB folder that I sanded with my SU sanding blocks to give it a touch of distressing. Finally I finished off the card with 2 chocolate brads that I had on hand. I hope that you had a nice relaxing weekend, and as always thank you for visiting my blog today!

My Special Project!

These cute little creations have been mailed out, and should be arriving to their destinations any day now so I am going to share them with you! I have always wanted to try stamping on cloth baby onsies, but had never tried it until last week. I am HOOKED! It was so easy! For these onesies I used the Stampin' Up! set " Fox and Friends". Is this not the perfect set to stamp on clothes!? Since Stampin' Up! offered this set in "clear mount" it made stamping so much easier, seriously, I can't tell you how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE the new clear mount stamps. I will never buy SU wood mount again. I had no problems with them sticking to my acrylic block, and they take up much less room and they are cheaper to! Anywho, all of the items used to make the cards are from SU, and the sentiment on the onesie is also from SU "Little Angel", and can be purchased clear mount as well. I hope that you are having a great week and again, thank you so much for visiting my blog today!

A Set of Cards

I made this set of cards to donate to a family in need and I will be mailing them out tomorrow! These cards were made using 99% Stampin' Up! supplies which is a rare thing for me! I love so many different kinds of stamps, and supplies I will never be able to be exclusive to any single company but SU stamps are my favorite kind of stamps. Anyways the set is used is " For All You Do". This set is SO pretty and has been a set I have gone back to over and over. The colors I used are the SU In-Colors, Rich Razzleberry, Soft Suede, Bermuda Bay, and Melon Mambo. I used Kraft card stock on all of the card bases. I thought I would do a little photo editing and make my cards easier to view by putting them all in one picture. I have never done anything like that so I am proud of myself. lol I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I thank you for visiting my blog!

* I also want to remind the members of the "Busy Bee Bloggers" to check out our thread at Split Coast stampers because I have made a few additions, and deletions to our blog list. Thanks everyone and WELCOME to our new members!!*

{Babies All Around!}

Well, I have been busy making baby cards lately because two dear friends have new baby boys! Hopefully they are too busy to check my blog and they won't see this card but I just HAD to post it! This card was made using DP from the DCWV Baby Boy stack. I am so glad that I bought 2 12x12's of this one. It is one of my all time favorite's and it will be a sad sad day when I finally run out. I used my Janome Sew Mini to stitch all of the blocks together to make the background look like a baby quilt. Yes, it did take a while. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up!, and the Giraffe is a clear set by "Recollections". I embossed the white ruffle with a Cuttlebug folder, and used my Fiskars Threading water border punch. I loved making this card, and will get it in the mail this week! Thank you for visiting my blog, and have a wonderful week!

{Fun With Buttons}

Good afternoon! We have been battling colds this week but thankfully we are all on the mend. Being sick is for the birds! LOL Anyways, this is a card I have been working on for days now and today I finally finished! This set features a super cute Turtle with matching sentiment by Inkadinkado. I used my SU Markers and Bics to color the turtle, and the light blue circle was made using a circle stencil and SU pastels. The DP is from DCWV, and I used my Janome to sew around the outside square. I thought it would be fun to add the buttons flower, and the stem, and leaf I hand cut from a piece of green felt. I did the stitching by hand as well. Crafty eh? I am really loving the felt embellies that are popular right now! I hope that you all have a great week and again thank you so much for visiting my blog!
