The Perfect Ink Storage!

I found this shelf at our local flea market last weekend for $2.00! I think it is perfect for my stamp pads, and will also fit the re-inkers that I need to buy. I love flea markets!!

I made two cards of each color for an auction that the women in my church are going to have in June. I recently bought the SU set "Bold Butterfly" for $10 and I LOVE it! The set was in perfect un-used condition so needless to say I was thrilled. I always loved Bold Butterfly but it was retired before I got around to buying it out of the catalog. I don't care if it is retired or not, I wil be using it a lot! The patterned paper in my cards was from the Target dollar spot. It matches the SU ink so well. It is tough to tell from the picture but I used stickles to outline the butterflies. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Just One More

I know the onsie cards have been done a zillion times already but I just HAD to post this one!! My dear friend had a baby girl yesterday and I made this for her. Welcome to the world Dylan! I used the DCWV "Baby Girl" paper, and the sentiment on the inside is from the"Baby Talk" set by SU. I hope everyone is having a wonderful week. I am so happy that tomorrow is Friday!!

Back Online!

If it isn't one thing it is something else. Last Thursday morning we had a power surge and our DSL modem went kaput. The phone company sent another one via express mail but it didn't get here until yesterday. We made due with dial up but man oh man was that slow! I couldn't even look at any blogs because it took too long to load up. What a pain! Thankfully we are back online so I can post some of the cards I have been working on! I made this card using the PT Anniversary set, and SU's True Friend set. It is kind of hard to tell from the picture but I used the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder on the white layer. The multi colored bg was made using Choco Chip, and Close to Cocoa SU ink. When I started this card I really didn't have a clear idea in mind of how I wanted it to turn out but I am happy with the end result.

Finally!

I finally have something new to look at! I have finished 3 cards for the contest and man oh man I don't know if I can do anymore. Well, today I found out that one of my best friends Grandmother died so after we finished talking on the phone I immediately sat down in my card room and made this card for her. I will probably also take her some flowers tomorrow afternoon. For this card I used SU's Afternoon Tea DP, and the Garden Silhouette's Stamp set. I used my choco chip marker to color the stem of the flower after I stamped it in Soft Sky. I made this card in only about 15 mins but I really think it turned out lovely.

Supplies:
Ink:Choco Chip, Soft Sky
Stamps: Garden Silhouette's, PT Anniv. Set
Paper: Soft Sky, Afternoon Tea
Embellies: Water Dew Drops, SU double stitched ribbon

I know it has been several days since I posted a card I have made but I have been spending all of my card making time for the past few days working on card submissions for a card contest in Paper Crafts Magazine! I have never entered a card contest so I thought what the heck, I can't win it if I'm not in it!! So in the mean time, here is a "little" eye candy for ya. Have a GREAT week!!

Where Does The Time Go?

Oh my gosh this week FLEW by! I am a terrible blogger, I am so sorry. Hopefully this week I willl do a better job of keeping my blog up to date! I did finish a few crafting projects this week, I just didn't get pics posted until today. I made another plaque like the one I made on Monday. I used the DP from the DCWV Baby Girl collection.
I also worked on these sugar jar treat jars! They would make the cutest gifts for just about any occasion.

And now for the best part of my week. I won blog candy on Jane's awesome blog http://http://whoopsiedaisy-jane.blogspot.com/. I was only supposed to receive the SU Sell-abration set "So Many Scallops", but Jane sent all of this in addition to the stamp set! She absolutely made my day, and it was super sweet of her boys to give Cam two adorable toy trucks! Jane, thank you so, so much!! Here is a pic of the candy she sent!

Feel The Love

Yesterday for one of my Mother's Day treats my hubby stayed home with Cam for a couple of hours so that I could go to one of my favorite stores, Target. While at Target I found an end-cap with these cute little plaques on sale for 3.24. Well, being the creative thinker that I am I knew that I could take the original design one step further and this is what I came up with:

I bought the chipboard letters at Big Lots for $1, and the papers are SU's DP "Afternoon Tea". I sanded down the edges with my sanding blocks and then used a sponge and Close to Cocoa ink on the edges of the letters. I am so pleased with how this turned out! I think I might have to take a trip back to Target to buy what they had left! I hope Monday is treating you well!

TECC15 Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge 15

This is my FIRST ever blog challenge!! I saw this adorable sketch when I was checking out one of the many blogs on my favorites list, Taylored Expressions
I really love this DP from SU! and I am keeping my fingers crossed that it makes it to the new catty. This card was pretty simple to make. All of the supplies are from SU except for the Stickles on the wings and heart, and the silver brads.

Today was also my first Mother's Day as a Mommy! It was a wonderful, relaxing day. My hubby was a sweetheart and made dinner, and watched Cam for most of the day. I will be getting my Mother's Day present on Tuesday, the new Kodak EasyShare Z1285 12 mega pix digital camera! I am so very excited! I hope all of you Mommies out there had a wonderful day!

Who Needs Nestabilities?

I decided to drag out my trusty Fiskars Shape Cutter and cut out a few circles to try and "scallop" like the ever so popular Nestabilities. After a few tries this is what I came up with. I am so happy with the end result, and really once you get the hang of using your corner rounder to punch the scallops it is a breeze! I really did enjoy making this card. I love the "birdie" stamp set from SU. I spent the afternoon re-arranging my scraproom so hopefully this weekend I will be making a few fun projects. I hope all of you have a nice restful weekend!

Stamps- SU A Little Birdie Told Me
Ink- SU Choco Chip
Paper - SU DP,
Embellies - Dew Drops, Joanns Ribbon

My First Paper Trey Ink Stamp Set!

I was very, very lucky and won a blog candy contest for the new PTI Anniversary stamp set! This is the first card I made using the set. I am so impressed with the quality of their stamps and I will most definitely be buying a few stamp sets from them! I have been going through some of my stamp supplies and a discovered I have a HUGE stash of Scrap-paper scraps! There is no way I could ever use it all, but I could be a lot better at using the scraps on my cards. I used some of my scraps on this card, and I decided that I will use scraps on all of my cards for the rest of the week!! We will see how that goes. =0) I hope everyone is having a great week so far! I can't believe it is already Wednesday!!!

Supplies:

Stamps - PTI Anniversary Set

Paper - Making Memories mini stack, SU Very Vanilla

Where Does The Time Go?

Boy where did the last 5 days go? I spent all of last week getting things ready for a baby shower we threw for two of our friends having baby girls this month. I am sorry that I havn't posted since last Wednesday! All of my card crafting projects were for the shower and I didn't get a chance to take pics. The card I posted today is a case of this card by Alice Erickson : http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/839481?cat=&size=medium

I LOVE the design on this card! I changed up a few things, mainly the stamp set. I picked up a new set at Joann's yesterday called "Sweet Pea" by Fiskars. It is adorable and was 30% off so I was happy! I also picked up 2 12x12 DCWV Baby Bow Stacks for Cameron's scrapbook. I decided I could live with a little bit of purple for a boy, the collection of papers are just too cute. I hope everyone had a great weekend! Everything is getting so green, and we are loving it up here in the Shenandoah Mountains.

Supplies:
Stamps - Sweet Pea - Fiskars, Baby Talk - SU
Ink - Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Barely Banana,
Paper - Bashful Blue, GP White, American Crafts "Stroller"
Embellies - MM brads, SU Hodge Podge Hardware, Michale's stitched ribbon
