Hello Friend - Papertrey Ink Make It Monday

PTIMIMMarch29

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening - wherever you are in the world today!
Today I have a card to share that I created for this weeks Papertrey Ink Make It Monday: DIY Cover plate Challenge.

To create my card I used the PTI stamp set "Doodle-Doo" and I set that I just can't put down, (but I promise I will after this.) the new PTI release "Wet Paint". I created a simplistic cover plate, with more of a folk art theme. I colored my flower and leaves using Spectrum Noir markers. I stamped the sentiment onto vellum using Staz-On ink by Tsukineko.

I hope you like my card!

Thank you for stopping by and have a great weekend!

A Moxie Fab Challenge: Stencils!

MoxieStencilChallenge

Hello! It has been much too long since I last played along with a Moxie Fab World Challenge, and today I am really excited to be playing along with the Stencils: Styling With Stencils Challenge!

I used a stencil I just picked up over the weekend:

To create my "rainbow" effect I used my favorite Stampin' Up ink pads, and lots of foam make-up sponges cut into thirds. The colors I used are Tempting Turquoise, Wild Wasabi, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, and Real Red. The shade of purple is from Fresh Ink. I sponged each color trying to achieve a somewhat even representation of each color. I used my much loved Papertrey Ink stamp set "Wet Paint" to stamp the sentiment. The butterfly was created using the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set also from Papertrey Ink. You can't see it very well from the picture but I used UTEE (Ultra Thick Embossing Powder) to create a high gloss effect on my stamped and die-cut butterfly.

I hope you like my happy card! Thanks for stopping by!

Papertrey Ink March Blog Hop

PTIMarchHop
Hello hello! Today I am happy to be hopping along with the Papertrey Ink March Blog Hop!
Blog-hop-logo

The challenge this month was to incorporate "high gloss" into your creations.

To create my card I used Delightful Dahlia Additions, and the new Wet Paint sentiment set. I stamped my flowers using Stampin Up's Soft Sky, Tempting Turquoise, and Island Indigo. After I finished stamping  I added a clear heat embossed layer to the third stamped layer on each of my dahlias. You can see it better in the close up above. The wood grain background is also glossy but it doesn't show up in the picture.

I am happy you stopped by and I can't wait to hop along and see the fabulous cards everyone has created for the hop! Have a great day!

Butterfly Thanks

Thanks2

Hello! I have been enjoying playing with the latest additions to my stamp collection, Wet Paint from Papertrey Ink. This set is wonderful! I am going to get a lot of use out of this set for sure. I used the coordinating stamp set also from Papertrey Ink Watercolor Wonder. I stamped the brush strokes in 3 colors of Stampin' Up! ink, Daffodil Delight, So Saffron, Barely Banana, and Smokey Slate. I added a die-cut butterfly from the PTI Beautiful Butterflies collection.

Thanks1

To create my gift box I embossed my gray card stock using the same butterfly die. To keep the die from cutting through the paper you'll need to put a piece of rubber under your card stock.

One of my favorite things about this gift set are the wood grain polka dots! I loved the newly released polka dot set, but decided against ordering it because I already have Polka Dot Basics 1 and 2. So, using Polka Dot Basics 1, and the Wood Grain stamp from Farm and Barn I used the "kissing" technique to create my wood grain dots! I am thrilled with the end result! The possibilities are endless!

I am happy you stopped by, and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Thanks For Making Me Smile!

Smile

Today is Friday, it is a beautiful sunny warmish day, and I received my new Papertrey Ink March release goodies in the mail. There are lots of reasons to smile! To create this Spring inspired card I used the new set "Just Smile". I loved stamping the cute row of flowers. I chose bright, bold colors and I just love the way it turned out!

I hope you have something to smile about today! Thanks for stopping by!

Unicorns and Rainbows = Happy!

pswed2

Hello! I couldn't wait to share this card with you! I created it with a couple of challenges in mind, first the current Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge, and next the Create: Blog Stitching Challenge.

To create this card I used the Paper Smooches sets "Spectrum", and "Birthday Sampler". The beautiful rainbow was created using the Papertrey Ink stamp set "Watercolor Wonder". I used Stampin' Up! ink in Rich Razzleberry, Tempting Turquoise , Gumball Green, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, and Real Red. I know I keep saying it but I am amazed time and time again by the quality of these inks, look at the pure color. Love, love them. I finished off my card with machine stitching, and glitter gem accents from CTMH.

I am happy you stopped by today!

Fun With Punches!

March15

Hello friends! Today I have a card to show you created using only Stampin Up product! (Rare for me I know.) I thought it would be fun to create a flower using the banner punch that you can earn FREE  during Sale-A-Bration. The center of my flowers was also created using a stamp set from the SAB catalog, Petal Parade that you can also earn for FREE during SAB. I used one of our new clear photopolymer stamp sets to stamp the sentiment, Another Thank You. The patterned paper is from the Retro Fresh  designer series paper collection. I stamped the leaves using Stippled Blossoms and Gumball Green, and Wild Wasabi ink. I finished off my card with an embossed strip of vanilla card stock using the Delicate Designs embossing folders. I LOVE those, I really do.

Rainbow Love

tuesmarch11

Whew! It has been awhile since my last post. Last week was super busy, and like many other card makers my spare time was spent making cards for the Paper Crafts and Scrapbooking Holiday Cards and More issue. Good luck to everyone that submitted!

It seems bold color, and rainbow hues are all the rage right now, so I created a fun rainbow card using the Stampin Up set "Love You To The Moon". Have I mentioned lately how much I love my Stampin Up ink pads? To stamp my card I used Pacific Point, Wild Wasabi, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Real Red. I have used a lot of red ink pads in the past 10 years, and the new formula Real Red ink pad is THE best red ink pad I have ever used.  I finished my card with a machine stitched border and a run through my Cuttlebug using the Papertrey Ink Linen/Canvas impression plate.

I also need to announce the winner of my $15 Stampin' Up gift certificate from the Paper Crafts magazine WCMD Thank You blog hop!

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you have a great day!

I hope you have enjoyed hopping along with the wonderfully talented designers that I share this honor with.

We were asked to use product included in the fabulous prize package we received and create a card in the categories we won in.  So, a Christmas card in March is what you are getting from me!
To create my card I used a Stampin' Up Simply Sent kit that was included in our prize package. The patterned kraft card stock, red bakers twine, and the snowflake behind the sentiment were from the kit. The sentiment, patterned card base, and glitter accents are from a card kit in our prize packages from CTMH. I stamped the sentiment onto vellum using StazOn ink in Tuxedo Black. Be sure to let it dry completely before adhering it to your card. (I learned this the hard way, lol.) Assemble your layers, add the glitter accents, and the bakers twine as a final touch and presto! Christmas in March!

Now what would a blog hop be without prizes right? So, I am giving away a $15 Stampin' Up! gift certificate to one lucky commenter on this post!
