{Friendly Forest Mojo}

What a tough week this has been. Sadly yesterday we had to say goodbye to our 6 year old Great Dane Amber. She was diagnosed with lymphoma right before Christmas and was given only weeks to live. Well, Amber was a fighter and stayed with us 2 months longer then the vet said she would. Over the weekend she took a big turn for the worst and we had to make the sad decision on Wed. to put Amber down. Yesterday she died peacefully at the vet office surrounded by her family. (me, my DH, and Cam.) We are very sad but know she is not suffering anymore. We will miss her. So, as you can see I have not been in the mood for much of anything this week.

Today I decided to try and get out of my funk and try out the weekly sketch at the Mojo Monday Blog. I finally used the clear set I bought at Michaels last month called "Friendly Forest". It is so cute and I think it would be great for scrapbooking. I used the retired Stampin Up DP "Fall Flowers". I hope that all of you have a great weekend, and hug your pets a little tighter this weekend. They really are so very special.

Your card is darling! I love the slide show of your cards on your blog. I can see I'll have to add you to my list of inspirational blogs:) I'm still trying to find my Mojo for this sketch.

Condolences on the loss of your dog. I've been there and done that a few times and I know how hard it is to lose such a beloved member of your family.

Hi, Ronnie!

I saw on the caller ID that you called today. I'm just home from Florida tonight. I'm trying to catch up on everything and get ready for HappyScrappers meeting tomorrow.

I'm so very sorry to hear about Amber. I know that she was a treasure and precious member of your family. I'm not sure what your beliefs are about heaven and animals, but I believe that animals to go to heaven and that you'll see Amber again. Maybe it would be therapeutic if you made a scrapbook about her? That may be a dumb idea, but I'm just throwing that out there.

Are you still planning to come to HappyScrappers? I sure hope so because I'm DYING to see you and all of the other girls are excited to see you to because they haven't seen you or talked to you in so long. Carolyn is especially excited.

Love and a Hug,

Oh my gosh Veronica, I am so sorry about Amber. I know how you feel, my parents put our family dog down a few weeks ago as well. He was old and not very well any more and in pain. It's so hard to not have them anymore, but can take comfort that he is resting peacefully now.

Sending big hugs to you all!!

…that’s why we miss them more
than we could have imagined.
