It's A Doozy!!

F-2

I was super thrilled to receive a package of Stamps, ribbon, and paper from Flourishes yesterday, and I wanted to play along with four challenges on the Flourishes Blog. So, today I have four cards to show you using the stamps I received yesterday!

The first challenge is the "Any Which Way Challenge" using any one of these sketches:

I used  the Flourishes set "Meet Me Under The Mistletoe". I LOVE the beautiful images and will be using these on some of my own Christmas cards this year!

The second challenge I am playing along with is the "Dear Santa Challenge". The challenge was to create a card for a kid.

                                                                                           Here is my card!

F-3

I used the Flourishes background stamp "Holly", and red Stickles for the glitter berries. The sentiment is from the Flourishes set "Meet Me Under The Mistletoe".

The third challenge is the "Timeless Tuesday Challenge". Create a card using inspiration from Pinterest.

Here is the picture that inspired me:

  And here is my card!

I took the CAS approach to this card. I stamped the mistletoe sprigs from "Meet Me Under The Mistletoe" as a subtle background, and used a sentiment from the same set.

Whew, thank you for sticking around for the final card! This is a non Christmas card for the Fourth challenge:  "Wild and Wonderful".

Here is my card:

F-1

I created a Father's Day themed card for this challenge. I used the Flourishes set "A Guiding Light". Wow, this set is beautiful, in a manly man kinda way. I used patterned paper from a Boy Scout paper pad from K and Company. I distressed the edges with my sanding block, and added stitching and buttons. It was SO difficult not adding a bow!

Well thank you for visiting my blog, and for looking at all of my cards!  I hope you have a wonderful weekend!!

Just Believe..

sep11-2

Hello hello! Today I have a card to show you that I created with a few challenges in mind, Moxie Fab World: Card Design Handbook Week - Focal Point Challenge  and the Paper Crafts Connection September Gallery Challenge - Natural Elements.  and CAS-ual Fridays Embossing Challenge.

To create the roses and leaves on my card I used the Stampin Up set "Stippled Blossoms". This set is a "2-step" set and the end results are STUNNING. To stamp my roses I used Ginger and Peach Fresh Ink pigment ink and for the leaves I used Limeade Fresh Ink, and Grass by A Muse Studio.  The sentiment is from the Wplus9 set "Sweet Nothings" and I stamped it using Espresso by Colorbox. The embossed woodgrain cardstock is by Core'dinations .  I added a piece of vanilla burlap that I cut into a circle using my Circles Nestabilities and my Cuttlebug.  I seriously love the way my card turned out!

I also want to let you know I have a BLOG GIVEAWAY with an awesome prize of a $25 gift certificate to the stamp company of YOUR choice! If your name is drawn all you have to do is let me know where you would like to spend your $ and I will send the gift code your way.  Here is the link:

 Navy Blue, Stone, and Peach

Hello! Welcome to The Play Date Cafe Challenge # 148.  Whew, I don't know about you but the colors from last weeks challenge were a challenge, but the colors this week are stunning!

This week we have a wonderful sponsor:

Tami has graciously  has donated one of her beautiful stamp sets "Lighthearted Wishes" to the winner of the PDCC Challenge.

Here is what I created using this weeks colors!

PDCC-2

To create my card I used the YNS stamp set "Happiness". The wood grain card stock is from A muse Studio. I paper pieced the outline flowers using paper from Carta Bella. I hope you like it and I can't wait to see what you create using these beautiful colors!!

{Sunshine and Happiness}

Sept4-2
Well, here in Southeast Oklahoma we definitely have the "sunshine". It has been over 100F all week. I am so tired of summer. But, thankfully a cool front is on the way so I know there is an end to this oppressive heat just around the corner.

I just received the brand new stamp set "Jar of Sunshine"  from Unity Stamp Co as a reward for having a card published using their stamps in the current Paper Crafts magazine special issue "Card Design Handbook". I rarely post pictures of my published cards but I just have to show you this one, it is one of my favorite cards published to date.

I am entering my "Jar of Sunshine" card in the Paper Crafts magazine September Gallery Challenge.

Thank you for visiting my blog, and I hope you have a wonderful week!!
