{Happy Bird-day!}
Good Afternoon! This summer has been a hot one and since we have been stuck inside I have had plenty of time to work on cards. I love it! For my card today I used the new Stampin' Up! set "Aviary". It is so very cute, and fun to use! I used my square scallop punch to create the background and then added stitching with my Sew Mini. I used Early Espresso, and Melon Mambo inks, card stock, and dsp. I am in love with the new color "Early Espresso" and you will be seeing it on many of my cards I'm sure. Thank you for visiting my blog and I hope you have a wonderful day!!

{From Me to You CIC72 }
Wow, another week almost over. This one went by quickly! My last post was on Monday, but the cards I have been working on are for submissions and contests so I can't post them yet! For today's card I again joined the weekly challenge at Cupcake Inspirations and used this picture as my inspiration:
What a cupcake! I love how bright and colorful it is! For my card I used SU Melon Mambo card stock and DSP, and I also used a little Old Olive, and Bermuda Bay. The flowers were made using the Prima "Rock On" chip plates. They are so cute! The die cut was made using my SU Top Note die, and I hand cut the grass after I ran the piece thru the Top Note die as well. I stitched around the DSP, and added felt leaves from the SU Sweet Pea collection. I will be sad when I run out of them! Anywho, I hope you are having a great Saturday, and thank you for visiting my blog today!

{The Nicest Things}
I knew I had to have this set "The Nicest Things" the moment I saw it in the new Stampin' Up! catalog. I love the adorable image, and the sentiment is so so true. This one is a must have! For this card I used almost everything SU, the DSP, inks, ribbon and card stock. The mother of pearl brads are by Karen Foster. I colored the image with classic ink and blender pens. I SO love my blender pens! I stitched (not very straight) around the dsp squares using my Janome sew-mini. I hope your Monday went by pain free, and as always thank you so much for visiting my blog!

Cupcake Challenge CIC71
This week a came across a very cute challenge blog that I am playing along with for the very first time! The name of the challenge is "Cupcake Inspirations". This one was so cute, so I could not resist joining along. Here is the inspiration picture:
Now what you have to do is design a card inspired by the colors, and elements of the super cute cupcake pic! Here is my card for the challenge:
I used the new Stampin'Up! set "Just Believe". It is one of my very favorite sets out of the entire catalog. I used SU Early Espresso, and Pumpkin Pie classic inks, and Early Espresso, Pumpkin Pie, and Very Vanilla card stock. The flower was made using Pumpkin Pie DSP from the clearance section on the SU website. It's perfect for fall and at 3.99 for a pack you just can't beat it. The card was accented with vintage lace, and the new scallop ribbon punch from SU. I distressed the edges of the card with my SU paper distresser, and Early Espresso Ink and a make up sponge. Thank you for visiting my blog today and play along with this weeks Cupcake Challenge if you can!

{Eat Cake}
This is a C.A.S. (clean and simple) card I made using the new Stampin' Up! Level 1 Hostess set "Birthday Bakery". I love the cute, whimsical stamps in this set, and the sentiments are SO cute! I colored the image using my newly re-filled SU Blender Pens. Oh my gosh I can't believe how much I missed using them. They were dry for awhile and just didn't want to spend another $10 to buy a new pack of them. The recipe and re-filling the pens was so easy. Let me know if you are interested in the instructions and I'll post them for ya. The DSP is from the new SU Brights Collection Paper Pad and I used the Stampin' Up! Scallop Trim Punch to punch out the strips of paper. The frosting, cherries, and strawberries were accented with Crystal Effects. Contact me if you would be interested in earning this adorable stamp set by hosting a Stampin' Up! Party! Thank you for visiting my blog today and have a great day!

{Sweet Sweet Summer}
Is this not one of the "sweetest" images you have ever seen!? Sometimes when I am working on a card things just seem to fall into place. I colored this adorable High Hopes image months ago using Copics, and Promarkers but didn't make it into a card until yesterday. My paper hoarding problem finally payed off and I actually had paper with watermelons on it! The DSP is by KI Memories. Love thier paper. And the super cute watermelon ribbon is by Offray ribbon. If you ever happen to be in the Hagerstown Maryland area you MUST stop by the Offray Ribbon outlet. Ribbon paradise! I stitched the squares, and layered my SU word window punch for the sentiment which is from PTI. I love the way this card turned out! I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend and thank you for visiting my blog today!

{It's a Boy!}
For those of you that may not know this we found that we are going to have another boy! Oh my goodness two boys! We are thrilled that Cam will have a little brother, and Daddy couldn't be any happier. In honor of this happy news I made a baby boy card to show you today! The stamp set I used is "Bundled in Love" by Stampin' Up, and the super cute DSP is also by SU. To achieve the patch work quilt effect to glued several 3/4 inch strips to a 4.25x5.50 piece of paper and then ran it through my Cuttlebug using the SU Top Note Die. This is a great way to use up old scraps. The sentiment was spritzed with Shimmer Mist, and the edges distressed with Baja Breeze Ink. The embossing folder I used is by Sizzex. I hope that it is cooler wherever you are because it is CRAZY hot here. Thank you for visiting my blog and stay tuned to see cards made with some of the totally cute sets in the new Stampin' Up! Catalog!
