{The Sweetest Day}

I knew I HAD to have this berry sweet patterned paper from Jillibean Soup the moment I saw it! As you have noticed from alot, ok well, most of my cards lately, I LOVE kraft card stock so of course I had to add it to my paper collection. The cute stamp is from the Unity Stamp "Itty Bitty"collection that was created to go along with the newest Jillibean Soup lines. The embossed kraft card stock is from the Cuttlebug collection "Preserves".  I used my Janome for the stitching. The cute flowers were cut using my Cricut and SCAL software. I accented the card with ruffled chocolate ribbon from Hobby Lobby, and bakers twine from "The Twinery". It is dark and dreary today, but I love the fun springiness of my card!
Today I am playing along with a handful of challenges and you should play along if you get a chance!

{Sweet Sunday}

 Wow, two posts in one day can you believe it? Well, I just had to play along with a couple of challenges so while Cam and Connor napped today I was able to finish a card! My card features a berry sweet image of cakes from the Stampin' Up! set "Birthday Bakery". The sentiment is from Impression Obsession. I used velvet ribbon by Cosmo Cricket, and my new favorite embellishment bakers twine from The Twinery.   I used dsp from KI Memories that matched my inspiration picture perfectly! Well, this weeks challenge at "Raise the Bar" is to  create a card inspired by your favorite cartoon character , and of course I had to pick Strawberry Shortcake! Most of you don't know this but I once had an entire room dedicated to vintage Strawberry Shortcake and her friends. Fun huh? Anyways I think my card reflects the sweetness of SSC and I really enjoyed creating it! The second challenge is the Paper Pal Arts weekly challenge which happens to be a sketch this week. This was the perfect sketch to go along with my SSC inspired card.  I am also playing along with the weekly challenge from "Wee Memories - Source of Inspiration" . Thank you for visiting my blog today and have a great day!

{Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #99}

 Good Sunday morning and welcome to  the Cupcake Inspirations Weekly Challenge! Our challenge this week is being sponsored by Prairie Fairy . If you have not been to visit their website you really should, they have some of the cutest images.  Here is the inspiration picture for this weeks challenge, isn't it a beauty?

My card looks more purpley then blue, but the colors are more blue in real life.  I colored the image with blender pen and SU classic ink. I also machine stitched around the first layer. To achieve the "glittery" look I used Glimmer paint in Champagne Mist. I LOVE the way it turned out! I used a Spellbinders die for the pretty diecut shape.  If you get a chance you should play along this week.  We would love to see what you create! I am also playing along with these challenges:

Going Grey with Scrap-Creations - Spring Fever

Supplies:
Stamps- Prairie Fairy Digital image "Bugs", Fifth Avenue Floral, SU

{True Friends}

Happy Valentine's Day friends and visitors! I hope this has been a sweet day for you. Today I created a card using the Stampin' Up! set "True Friend". I used the SU colors Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake and Whisper White. These colors happen to be the color challenge for this week at "The Paper Players Challenge #34. Don't they look fantastic together!?  I am also playing along with the sketch challenge at "Skipping Stones Design Challenge #63".  This was a great sketch to work with. I finished off the card with a BasicGrey button, and Offray ribbon tied with  yummy twine I just received from the Twinery! Speaking of twine there is a great Product Challenge #6 at DeNami Designs featuring twine! If you have twine you should definitely play along!
Thank you for visiting my blog today and have a wonderful day!

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge#98

What a wonderful Sunday! Today is my first time to play along with the Cupcake Inspiration Weekly Challenge as a Design Team Member! This is the inspiration picture for this weeks challenge:

This weeks challenge is being sponsered by Flourish With a Bling. I love the cupcake colors this week, so springy! For my card I used K and Company DSP, and a cute stamp from the set by Autumn Leaves called Mindy's Zoo.  I ran the light green DSP thru my paper crimper, and added the ruffled ribbon accented by a SU border punch. The main image was colored using ProMarkers. Thank you for stopping by to visit my blog, and we would love for you to play along with this weeks Cupcake Inspirations challenge!

{Birdies All in a Row}

Good Afternoon and welcome to my blog! Today I created a card with a few challenges in mind. I had fun making today's card! I used the SU set " The More the Merrier", and the sentiment from Hero Arts. The color combo I used is from the "Color Throwdown Weekly Color Challenge"

I stamped the main image on SU Whisper White using Memento Ink. I paper pieced 3 of the birds using Orchid Opulence that I ran thru my Cuttlebug with a fluttering butterflies embossing folder. The remaining birds were colored using a SU Pink Passion marker. I also paper pieced the hearts using SU Glimmer paper. The main shape and pink and black layers were made using my Cricut, and SCAL software. The main DSP background is from DCWV. I finished off the card with zipper rosettes, and a small rose. I thank you for visiting my blog today and play along with any of the challenges I mentioned today if you get a chance! Have a wonderful day!

"Hearts a' Plenty"

Wow, I am on a roll this week! Actually, Connor has been taking nice long morning afternoon naps so that has given me time to play. My card today features an oh so cute image by Pink Cat Studios. I love that cute little monkey! The DSP is by Stampin' Up! as well as the card stock. The colors I used are Chocolate Chip, Ridinghood Red, and Very Vanilla. I think I have a new favorite color combination! I used my SU Scallop border punch , and my Janome Sew mini to stitch around one of the layers. The cute stitched ribbon is from the Cosmo Cricket, "Honey Pie" collection. I added glazed brads from SU, and finished off the card by gazing the hearts, and adding the glitter heart.  I am playing along with a handful of challenges today, but first I have to share some exciting news! I was chosen to be on the super talented "Cupcake Inspirations Weekly Challenge" design team! Yay! I have been playing along with the challenge for several months and have had a great time doing that. What a sweet treat to be on the design team! I will officially begin on Feb. 20th but I am going to play along this week also!

{Vintage Lace}

 Another weekend has come and gone and Monday is here once again. *sigh*. So far this Monday is going well and I hope it continues to go that way! My card today is a bit out of my comfort zone, I am more "Cutesy", than "Shabby Chic", but I think it turned out OK. I used the Stampin' Up! set "Butterfly of Happiness". I also used the SU Background stamp " French Script". I used my handy dandy Cricut and SCAL software to cut out the layered shape. I just have to say that I love that I didn't have to buy any metal dies to create this shape. It really is amazing what you can do with a Cricut and SCAL. The DSP is by DCWV. I machine stitched around the layer, and distressed the edges with SU chalk, and my finger. Seriously, I can't find anything that spreads out the color better then that! I created the roses with the EK Success 2" Scallop punch and SU dsp. The used vintage blue and cream colored lace that I found at an estate sale. It smelled "old" when I bought it so I just put a few dryer sheets in with the lace and that took care of the smell.  Finally I finished off the card with ribbon, and half pearls.  Today I am playing along with a few challenges:

{Hearts and Glitter}

Hello and welcome to my little paper crafting world! Yesterday I mentioned the new Valentine's Day digi stamp release at Pink Cat Studious, and here is one of the images. Isn't she cute? I colored her with ProMarkers.  I received a  package this week filled with Valentine goodness and in it was a few sheets of the beautiful Stampin' Up! red glitter paper. I thought it would be perfect with this image. I used my Eyelet circle Nestabilities with the glitter paper and it cut perfectly.  As you can see I also used it to make my glittery flower. Everything on this  card is from SU except for the image.  Today I am playing along with a handful of challenges:

{L is for Love}

Today has been a great day so far, Connor is sleeping in his rocker, and Cam is busy playing with is toys. So, that meant Mommy got to play in her craft room this morning! My card today features an adorable digi stamp from "Pink Cat Studios". I love the super cute Valentine digi's they released today and keep a look out for cards featuring them this week! The image I used today is called "birds holding hearts". I colored them with ProMarkers and filled in the hearts with Stickles. The DSP is from Stampin' Up! and I used my Janome Sew Mini to stitch around the edges. I made rosettes to match using SU Bashful Blue, So Saffron, and Pink Pirouette. To make the rosettes I used the EK Success 2" Scallop Punch to cutout the shapes, then cut the shapes in a spiral fashion. I then twirled the paper around and there ya go, adorable rosettes! The leaves are from the SU Sweet Pea felt collection. Oh my gosh I am going to be sad when I run out of those! The ribbon is from a ginormous roll of Vanilla satin ribbon I bought at the Offray Ribbon outlet in Hagerstown Maryland. Seriously, if you have never been there you have to go at least once!  I bought 50 yards of the vanilla ribbon for $2.  Love that place!  I finished off the card with 2 half pearls, and the sentiment from the SU "Greetings Galore" set.  I know I always say this, but I LOVED this card, and I hope you do to! I am playing along with the following challenges:
