{Three Cheers For Friday!}

Wow, Friday is already here! This week really did fly by!  I think for me that is mostly because I am feeling better this week, and my mobility has improved  a lot. If you don't already know this I am 29 weeks pregnant, and have had very painful sciatica in both hips and legs since  Labor Day weekend. It stinks, but I'm learning to deal with it.  The end is in site! Now, onto my card. For today's card I used the adorable PTI set "Everyday Button Bits". I love this set so much! Buttons are one of the craft supplies I can't seem to get enough of, so it's great to have a stamp set devoted to the use of buttons! I am also playing along with the "Paper Pal Arts Weekly Challenge" asking for the use of buttons, on a C.A.S.  (clean and simple) card. Every Day is a Gift!

Such true words, every day truly is a gift! I love this adorable High Hopes image of a basket of kittens! For this card I used SU Baja Blue, and DSP from the super cute Cosmo Cricket line "Material Girl". The cute ribbon is from Hobby Lobby, and the epoxy brad is from SU. I colored the image with a set of new "Pro-Markers" I recently was lucky enough to win! These markers are so nice, and like Copic and Bic Markits they are alcohol based. The sentiment is from the PTI set "Everyday Bits".

Lace and Blog Candy!!!

My next door neighbor had an estate auction two weeks ago, and there was quite a lot left over,

My Dad and I went over to the house and I spotted a huge box of vintage lace in beautiful condition. I asked how much he wanted for it and he gave it to me for free! I was thrilled, and finally got around to going thru it today. As you can see from the card I made today I incorporated some of the lace into my card! I have never used lace on a card, and I love what it adds to a card! I used an older Sarah Kay image I have had for awhile, and colored it with Bic Mark-its, and my SU markers. The DSP is by Cosmo Cricket and it is called "Material Girl". I also used the matching buttons that go along with the dsp collection. I used my Janome to sew around the edges, and the lace scallop was hand made by me! Now for the fun part, because I have SO much lace, and I know I will never use it all I am offering up BLOG CANDY to share my lace with YOU!

{Spring Upsy Daisy}

I could not ask for a more beautiful day then what we have here in Southeast Oklahoma today! I wish it could be like this every day of the year! Since the sun is shining I was inspired to create this springy card using the Stampin' Up! set "Upsy Daisy". I love how easy it is to create a beautiful card using this set! The main image was embossed with white powder, and a quick tip when you heat emboss, aim the heat gun on the opposite side that you embossed, and the image will be glossier. It works, it really does! The DSP is "Material Girl" by Cosmo Cricket. I used the SU Scallop Trim Border Punch, and my Janome for the stitching. I used a folder from my Cuttlebug "Romance" collection for the elegant embossing on the top of the card. I am very happy with the way this card turned out! Wow, Friday is already here. Where did the week go? Come to think of it, where did the last year go? lol. I finally understand what my parents meant in response to me wishing I was "13", "Don't wish away your life because time goes by fast enough as it is." They were definitely right about that one. Anyways, for today's card I used an adorable High Hopes image RAK'd to me by me sweet friend Kelly at Crafting Creatively
I colored him using my Prima's and Gamsol. The DP is Cosmo Cricket's "Cogsmo", the perfect paper for boys! I used my Ovals Nestabilities, and SU mat Pack on the paper piercing. The card stock and ribbon are all from SU. We don't have any exciting weekend plans due to the potential ice and snow tomorrow. Have a safe and happy weekend!
