Hello friends! Today is a big day for me, my 1000th blog post! (And it is my son Cameron's birthday which is super awesome also.) I really can't believe I have written out 1,000 blog posts. Where did the time go? My first post was in 2008. Six years later I am here today, as in love with this hobby as ever and I am so thankful for the friendships I have made along the way.
Since Christmas cards are my favorite, I thought I would share a couple of those with ya. My first card features the Papertrey Ink Make-It Market County Fair quilting die and coordinating stamps. I also used the pine bough stamp builder from the PTI set Love Lives Here: Holiday.
My second card is a less traditional card featuring stamps from the Papertrey Ink stamp sets Circle Scribbles and Holiday Photo Finishers.
My third card, a Thank You card features the PTI metal plate Mighty Oak. I used the plate to create my stencil. Next using a sponge and Gold Delicata ink I sponged the stencil to create my golden tree. The sentiment is from the Wet Paint set that was stamped and heat set using black embossing powder.
Thank YOU for everything, for visiting my blog, for leaving comments, and for being my friends.
As a THANK YOU, I am offering a pretty sweet blog prize to one lucky commenter! The November Stampin' Up! Paper Pumpkin Kit.
To be eligible for my giveaway just leave a comment on this post!
Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
Hello friends! Today I am thrilled to be joining a fabulous group of paper crafters as we celebrate all things COFFEE! This wonderful Blog Hop was created by the fabulous Amy Tsuruta!
To create my card I used the Stampin' Up! set "Perfect Blend". My patterned paper is also by Stampin' Up! I used paper from the Neutrals paper collection (Crumb Cake Dots and Very Vanilla Chevron), and the red checks from the Maritime collection. The green gingham is from the Trim The Tree pad. I colored my image using Chameleon Pens. I love the subtle look you can achieve using
these super fun markers!
As you can see below we have so many fabulous sponsors (including myself, haha) that have donated prizes to be randomly chosen from everyone that LINKS UP for the hop! To link up all you have to do is create a coffee, or other hot beverage creation and add it to the link uplocated on Amy Tsuruta's Blog.
Now if you would rather not create a card, or just don't have the time (It IS a crazy time of year.) then leave a comment on MY blog to put your name in the hat for my blog candy, a Stampin' Up! Early Espresso stamp pad, re-inker, and coordinating Early Espresso ribbon!
Thank YOU for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
Hello and Happy Friday! Today I have two CAS cards to share featuring Papertrey Ink stamps. Actually, these cards were created for the Paper Crafts "Stamping Royalty" contest. They weren't chosen but I was lucky enough to have another card, in a different category that actually did win. Anywho, I LOVED these cards, and have been waiting for the Holidays to get here to share them with you! The first card features PTI "In The Meadow" stamped with Gumball Green ink by Stampin' Up! The sentiment is also from PTI, "Instant Photo: Holidays".
My second card uses just "Instant Photo: Holidays, and the Mama Elelphant Scalloped Frame stitched die. I love that die!
I added bright ribbon bows to each card. I have a problem buying/collecting Christmas ribbon. haha.
Well that's it for today, thank you for stopping by!
I have been waiting for MONTHS to play with the adorable set Warm Hearts, my favorite PS set ever! I colored this cutie with Pro-Markers. I accented my card with sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.
I am happy you stopped by and I hope you have a wonderful day!
Today I am here with several different emotions running through my head, and heart. You should have arrived here from my friend, and the creator of this hop: Taheera Atchia. As you may of well heard by now, Paper Crafts and Scrapbooking magazine is ceasing publication. Like many of you this magazine is responsible for so many of the high points of my crafting career. As a beginning card maker I thumbed through my first issues reading the names of designers, many of which have now become my friends, pulling inspiration from the issues as I tried to find my own design style. And now 11 years later we are saying good-bye.
I have a short video to share:
Don't judge. Haha
Here is the card I created especially for today's hop!
To create this card I used my much beloved Papertrey Ink stamp set "The Sweet Life". I embossed Stampers Select White card stock using the PTI Aida Cloth impression plate. To tone down the bold patterned paper I added a piece of vellum that I adhered underneath the circle to "hide" the adhesive marks. The stitched "thanks" is also from PTI.
Well, there are SO MANY amazingly talented papercrafters to visit so please don't let me keep you. Your next stop on the hop is a sweet friend and amazingly talented paper crafter Laura O'Donnel.
Thank you for stopping by, and again....Thank You! XOX
Hello friends and welcome to The Challenge week # 20! This week we have a beautiful color combination and sketch for you to play with!
Here is the card I created using the colors:
To create my card I used Stampin' Up!'s Wondrous Wreath, and Endless Wishes. Instead of traditional green, I stamped my card in shades of red. I absolutely LOVE the way it turned out! I used DSP from the All Is Calm collection. I'm happy you stopped by this week and I hope you decide to play along!
