{Just a Little Note}

cas1

       Good morning! Today I am sharing a card I created using new stamps (new to me)  from Skipping Stones Design. I used two background stamps from the set " Timeless Textures", and the sentiment is from "Heart Song". I used this weeks challenge at CAS-ual Fridays (me again ladies, hehe) as the inspiration for the colors I chose to create my card. I chose SU's Pink Pirouette, White, Black, and a touch of gray. The hounds tooth pattern paper is from Colorbok. Now let me tell you about that flower! I used my KNK Zing and a cutting file from Lori Whitlock 3D Flowers Set 1. I have to say that I LOVE her store and could spend so much money on all of her cutting files!  I hope you like my card and thank you so much for visiting my blog today!

{Bananas Over You}

lawnfawnredo

Today I created a card with a couple of challenges in mind, first this weeks challenge at CAS-ual Fridays

Next is this weeks Lawnscaping Challenge: Inspired By: Here is a picture that inspired me to create my card:

 Don't you just love that bright happy black and yellow combination! To create my card I used the Lawn Fawn set "My Silly Valentine". The yellow polka dot paper is from the Echo Park Dots and Stripes collection. I embossed my card base with the PTI Linen/Canvas impression plate. I can't sop using that plate. It goes so well with just about everything! Next I added a notebook punch border using an EK Success punch, and I finished off the card with bakers twine from "The Twinery". I had fun making this cute little card, and I hope you like it!  Have a wonderful day!

{A Little Jane Austin}

tuestrig

Hi again! I rarely post twice in one day but I was able to spend a little extra time (between yard work and family time) in my craft room and I just had to put the idea I had into a card for this weeks Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger! Here is the inspiration picture:

   This picture holds so much inspiration for me. I can just see myself and a dear friend sitting in a beautiful room catching up on our lives.  To create my card I used the Papertrey Ink set "Simply Jane". I wanted to capture the design, and colors of the area rug, and I thought the Simply Jane frame would be perfect. I sponged the die cut frame with Latte pigment ink from A Muse Studio. Next I stamped the matching ornate frame image using Crumb Cake ink from Stampin Up. In the picture there are very light touches of pink,  dark, and light, and I think I captured that in my floral bouquet with the matching stamped bow.  I used two shades of pink from A Muse Studio, Bubblegum, and Shell. The delicate color shading was created using an eye shadow applicator. Love how that turned out! I used the PTI Linen/Canvas impression plate to add subtle texture to the back ground. I LOVE the way my card turned out, and I kinda hope you like it to. =0) Have a wonderful day!

{Papertrey Ink March Blog Hop Challenge}

    PTIBlogHop2

Hello! As soon as I saw the inspiration picture for this months PTI Blog Hop I knew I wanted to play along! Check it out:

     I LOVE the bright, springy colors! To create my card I used the PTI set "Beautiful Butterflies". I stamped three different butterflies in three different shades of yellow, all Stampin Up shades...Barely Banana, Yo Yo Yellow, And Summer Sun. I don't think I have ever stamped so much yellow! I used my wood grain folder from The Paper Studio, and the dainty scroll accents were cut using a cutting file from Lettering Delights and glossy photo paper. I added a strip of aqua patterned paper from the Dots and Stripes collection by Echo Park. To finish off my card I used three buttons to match each butterfly. Fun! I am so glad you stopped by to visit me today, and I hope you enjoy the rest of the hop!

{YNS Fun Friday}

ynsffmarch23-2

  Hello and welcome to Fun Friday with YNS! Today I am posting a card using the brand new release "Furry Dress Up Fiona". Yes, the Pony Express finally delivered my package of goodies from YNS! I paper pieced and used my promarkers to color this little cutie. The orange polka dot paper is from Echo Park, and Crate Paper. The burlap paper is from The Paper Studio. I LOVE this paper so much.    My Fun Friday Tip is:

"Paper piecing  images are a fun, and easy way to add extra dimension to outline images."

  In my opinion a must have for paper piecing is a "Quickie Glue Pen". I use it every time I paper piece.  I hope that you will visit the rest of the YNS Design Team to see what they are up to today and as always, thank you for visiting my blog today!

{Basket of Smiles}

YNS Basket Animals

 This weekend I received a package of Happy Mail from Your Next Stamp! Included was the adorable set "Basket Animals" that I used to create this card. This set was designed by the talented artist Jenny Suchin. Those little animals are SO SO cute and I know I am going to be using them A LOT. I used copics and promarkers to color my fix, basket, and balloons. Next I heat embossed clear powder to give the balloons a bit of a shine. I hand stitched the borders of the grassy hill side using white DMC floss. Yeah, that took awhile but I love the way it turned out. I finished off the card with a "grass" button from A Muse Studio and bakers twine from The Twinery.  Today I am playing along with this weeks challenge at The Play Date Cafe:

I colored my balloons using this weeks color challenge!  I hope you are having a good week so far, and thank YOU for visiting my blog today!

{Sew Very Blessed}

march16-1

Hello hello. Friday is finally here, and I couldn't be happier! While I waited and hoped for an email from Paper Crafts magazine (happy  mail day) Aside from house work I worked on this card to keep myself from hitting refresh about a gazillion times. Much to my amazement, and joy I had a project picked for publication! Yay! Congratulations to all my friends who received happy mail today as well!  The card I made today features the Hero Arts clear set "Sew Artsy". I picked my color inspiration from the current Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger:

The die-cut shape was made using the Stampin Up Top Note Bigz Sizzix die. The strip of patterned paper is from the "This and That collection" by Echo Park and the pink lace is from Hobby Lobby (store brand). I love this CAS card! Today I am also playing along with the brand new CAS-ual Friday challenge:

1. A Pattern - cork board background

2. An Image - Sewing image

3. A Sentiment - You're sew nice

                               Thank you for visiting my blog and  I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Hello! I am here with a quick post of a CAS card I created today. I used my wood grain embossing folder from The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby). The beautiful patterned paper is the beautiful "This and That by Lori Whitlock" collection by Echo Park. The stitched and eyelet ribbon is from the Dear Lizzy "Lively" collection by American Crafts. That flower was a labor of love..lol  I used the EK Success Doily Petals Dimensional Punch. It is cute but it does take some time. The sentiment is from the Beautiful Butterflies set from Papertrey Ink. I hope you like my card and I hope you have a wonderful day!

{Thanks For Your Kindness}

march12-3

Yep, I'm back again to show you my second card that I created for the current challenge at The Play Date Cafe. To create this card  I started out by stamping the card base with my trusty old Canvas Background Stamp from Stampin Up. Next I cut a circle shape using my Nestabilities circles dies out of a piece of copy paper. Using removable adhesive I adhered it to my card base make sure it was even, and that there were no gaps around the circle. I stamped the butterflies using three shades of pigment ink. Next I carefully removed my stencil. I stamped the sentiment and added a border of machine stitching and two clear buttons stacked on top of each other tied with white twine from the Etsy Shop "The Joyful Cup". They  have the BEST jute twine I have been able to find anywhere and it is so inexpensive. I hope you like my card and thank you for visiting my blog today!

{Sending You Love}

CASMarch12-2

   Good sunny afternoon! Today I am super excited to share a card I created for this weeks challenge at CAS-ual Friday. This week they are saying goodbye to the unbelievably talented, and very sweet Julie Ranae.

 I thought I would create I card to send Julie to thank her for everything she does to keep us inspired! I used the Small Post Card with matching die set from Your Next Stamp to create my card. I inked up the center of the small post card and added a sentiment from the Fancy Frame stamp set. I colored the die cut postage stamp, and the sentiment with copic markers. The polka dot paper is from A Muse Studio. I had SO much fun making this card! I hope that you had a nice Monday and a great rest of the week! Thank YOU for visiting my blog!

{Spring Green}

march6

Hello! Today I created a card to celebrate the arrival of Spring in Southeast Oklahoma. The weather has been beautiful and it brings me so much joy to see blossoms abound, and leaves returning to tree branches. My 2nd favorite time of year! (Fall is my favorite.) To create my card I used the new Papertrey Ink set "Lovely Leaves". I LOVE LOVE this set! It is so easy to create a beautiful card using it. My patterned paper is from the Spots and Dots collection by Echo Park. And that adorable wooden flower button is from Oriental Trading. I hope the warmer weather is on its way to you and I thank YOU for visiting my blog today!

{YNS Fun Friday}

YNSFunFri-2

Hello and welcome to another Fun Friday with YNS! My card features the YNS set Japan Icons Set Two. I colored the cute turtle and kite/lantern with copics and promarkers. The patterned paper is from Crate Paper. I added a strip of paper that I punched out using the EK Success Argyle punch. So cute! Added a machine stitched border using brown thread and added a wooden button that I bought from Oriental Trading. And the ribbon, well, that is going to be my Fun Friday Tip!

   "Using decorative ribbon as grass, or water can add a fun element to your card."

 I have so many ribbons and fibers that aren't good for tieing bow's, and what better way to use them than as 3-d elements on a card or project!
    Thank you for visiting my blog and I hope you have a wonderful Friday!
