Avery Elle's First Challenge = Fun!

AADec30-1

I had heard so many great things about Avery Elle and was lucky enough to win a gift certificate to the store, so a few weeks ago I put in my first Avery Elle order! I decided to wait until after Christmas was over before putting any "Valentine" themed cards on my blog, hey, one holiday at a time, right? So, this weekend I finally had some time to play and created a couple of cards using my new stamps and I wanted to play along with the first Avery Elle Challenge!

My first card uses two AA stamp sets "All Occasions Tags". and "Lots of Love". I stamped the tag ends using Pink Lemonade Fresh Ink. The patterned hearts were stamped using Stampin Up, and A Muse Studio ink. The embossing folder is from Lifestyle Crafts, and I added some fun chevron ribbon from The Ribbon Carousel.  I finished off the card with a touch of zig zag stitching to give it a little extra something. I seriously love this card!

I kept my second card a little more CAS, and decided to use non-traditional colors. I stamped four of the hearts using Stampin Up's Bermuda Bay and Crumb Cake. The solid black sentiment was stamped using Versafine Onyx Black ink. I added more black stitching, and attached my card front to my SU wood grain embossed card base.  I hope you like both of my cards featuring two very different card styles. Thank you for visiting my blog today!

Fun Friday With Your Next Stamp - Special Delivery

ynsff

Hello! Welcome to the very last YNS Fun Friday, well the last one of 2012 that is! Our theme for the month of December is "Reflection of the last 3 years". I have been on the YNS design team for a little over a year, and have been using YNS stamps for a couple of years.  One of my favorite YNS stamp sets to date "Special Delivery" designed by the super talented Jenny Suchin! This super cute card was published in the September issue of Cards magazine, my very first pub with Northridge Publishing!  I paper pieced the elephant, and his parachute using paper from Crate Paper. Added scallops, and ribbon treatment, and finished it off with a big ol' button.  Thank you for visiting my blog today, and be sure to visit the main YNS Company Blog to see what the rest of the design team has to show ya!

ptibloghop

I know I am late getting this posted but I decided at the last minute (this evening) to play along after seeing so many beautiful cards posted using this months Papertrey Ink Blog Hop inspiration picture!

To create my card I used a beautiful set I recently ordered "Stitched Sentiments" with matching dies. This set is just so pretty. I added lots of white, ivory, and Sweet Blush to add a subtle hint of color.  I am pleased with the end result! Thanks for stopping by!

Snowflakes Sparkle

ptimim

Hello hello! I am here with a card I created with a couple of challenges in mind, first this weeks  Papertey Ink  Make It Monday: Patch Work Die Cuts challenge, and the current Retro Sketches challenge using this sketch:

I
I created my card using some of my favorite stamps "Snowflake Medley", and "In The Meadow", both by Papertrey Ink.  To create my patchwork snowflake I cut 5 strips of paper and adhered them to a sheet of card stock. Next I used my large snowflake die from the matching "Snowflake Medley" die set and cut out my flake. I found the perfect button (I love it when that happens!)and added it to the center tied with sugar twine from A Muse Studio. The beautiful crushed velvet  ribbon is by Making Memories.

Thank you for visiting my blog today and I hope you have a wonderful day!

The Play Date Cafe # 162 - Merry Snowflakes

Hello and welcome to The Play Date Cafe Challenge #162! Wow, this weeks color story is beautiful;

Gold...Teal...Mint...Lavender

This week we have a wonderful sponsor, who also graciously supplied the PDCC design team with stamp to use for this challenge!

Here is the card I created using this weeks color story!

pdcc-1

I kept my card CAS this week. I even added a spritzing of glimmer mist. I really need to use it more often but most of the time I forget I even have it! I added die cut, layered snowflakes, and a sentiment sticker from SRM. I hope you will play along with us this week at the PDCC!  Thank you for stopping by!

Shimmer and Shine - A Moxie Fab Challenge

Many of my crafty friends have been creating the most beautiful cards with the current Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger. The picture is SO pretty, and since it has been quite awhile since I played along I thought I would come up with my own interpretation of the inspiration picture! Here is what I created:

moxie1

I used the beautiful PTI "Filigree" border die, and a sentiment stamp from "Happiest Of Holidays", also from PTI. I cut out three gold strips, and punched out selected pieces (yeah, that took awhile). I added a strip of pearls to each border, and finished off the card by adding a PTI Doily die cut with the sentiment stamped on a die cut circle. I used Slate pigment ink from A Muse Studio to stamp the sentiment.  I think my card captures the gold, and silver tones of the picture, with a splash of elegance by adding the pearls. I. Love. This. Card!!  Thanks for stopping by!

A Little Sparkle For The Holidays

dec16-1

Hello! Here with a quick Sunday evening post.  I had a few scraps of glitter paper on my desk, so I got out my PTI Poinsettia dies, and created a glittery CAS card. I also used inspiration from this weeks Papertrey Ink Make It Monday " Layered Glitter Shapes". I used a sentiment from Think Big Favorites #20.  I hope you are having a good Sunday, and thank you for taking a look at my card!

pdccdec12

I just received the super cute stamp set by Taylored Expressions "Strawberry Wreath" and thought it would be the perfect way to use the colors for this weeks PDCC! I colored the wreath using Copic and Promarkers.  I used my woodgrain embossing folder from Stampin Up. The gingham ribbon is from the $1 ribbon bin at Wal Mart. I hope you like my card, and I hope you will play along with us at The Play Date Cafe!

For my Day 12 card I wanted to create something true to my card making style, now what you would call it I have no idea, but this card makes me happy.  I used the Papertrey Ink stamp set Love Lives Here: Holiday with matching dies, and Background Basics: Tin Types. I used my favorite kraft patterned card stock that I picked up at Hobby Lobby. I finished off the card with a big red bow! Again I want to say thank you for visiting, and for your comments! I will be picking the winner of the $20 gift certificate in the next couple of days. Have a great evening!

I don't know if you are a sci-fi fan but my hubby is and he LOVES the Transformers movies, so I thought it would be fun to create a "Bumblebee" inspired card to give to him for Valentine's Day. The mechanics of this card are pretty simple, yellow card stock, black stripes with stitching, and stamping of the odometer and sentiment. Easy, and fun!  If you are following along with the hop then I am your last stop, but if you just joined along and would like to start at the beginning for a chance to win a TCM stamp set then click here:  The Craft's Meow Store Blog.
