{A Card for a Mom and A|S Blog Hop}

     Good Morning and welcome to my blog! Today is a busy day and I am thrilled that you stopped by to join in the fun! If you are hopping along with the A Muse Studio blog hop then you came to the right place! This is also my card for the Cupcake Inspirations weekly challenge. See I told ya it was busy around here! Here is this weeks Cupcake Inspiration picture:


   

   Everything I used to create my card except for the white lace is from A Muse Studio. My card features the "Wild Rose" stamp set. It really is perfect for a Mother's Day card. I daubed  bubblegum, and cranberry pigment inks onto my flower stamp to create the pretty flowers. The pigment ink gives the flowers such a soft and pretty appearance, I love our inks.  I cut 3 pieces of card stock into strips and attached them to my card. Next I machine stitched along the edges. I added the pretty bubblegum satin ribbon and added a small die cut butterfly. I finished off the card with the "Happy Mother's Day" sentiment from the "Essential Sentiments" set.  I hope you like my card!

 Hello and welcome to my blog! Do you have any exciting weekend plans? It will be a quiet one for us this weekend but the weather is dark and dreary so I'm ok with that. I am in a happy mood because yesterday I received Happy mail from Paper Crafts magazine and found out that I had THREE cards picked up for publication in the next issue of Holiday Card and More! I am so excited! Thanks for letting me share!

     Since 3 seems to be a lucky number for me I am going to be posting 3 cards in the next 3 days. All 3 of my cards will feature A Muse Studios supplies! I just want you guys to see how awesome this company is! For my card today I used the set "Friend to Friend". I colored the flowers with two Copic markers, lipstick red, and begonia pink and then fussy cut them out with paper snips. The leaves were stamped in Grass ink. I used matching Bubblegum gingham card stock along with Bubblegum polka do card stock. I used my A Muse Studio butterfly metal die to create the pretty layered butterfly using scraps of the same paper. Isn't it cute?! The sentiment is also from the "Friend to Friend" stamp set.  I roughed up the edges of my flowers and sentiment and finished off the card with you guessed it, Bubble gum ribbon! I love this card and have someone special in mind to give it to! Now, to celebrate my "weekend of 3's" I am going to give away some very yummy blog candy featuring a few of my favorite A Muse Studio goodies.

{Color Makes Me Happy}

 Just like my blog post title says, color makes me HAPPY! I finished this card this morning and couldn't wait to share it on my blog. I love the color splash of one of the newest releases from Cosmo Cricket "Salt Air". I must get more of this paper! All of the patterned paper I used in this card is from the Salt Air 6x6 paper pad. I stitched around the edges, and then used my edge distresser to give the edges a nice tattered appearance. The pretty butterfly image is from Inkadinkado's new cling rubber stamp collection that I heat embossed with black embossing powder and colored with a sponge and 3 of my A Muse Studio pigment ink pads. The fun bluish ribbon is from the Flutter collection by Making Memories. I have wanted to use it on a card every since I bought it! The yellow ribbon is from Cosmo Cricket. The sentiment is from the A Muse Studio set "Contemporary Greetings". And finally I finished off the card with a big yellow button tied with twine from A Muse Studio. I am playing along with lots of challenges today! So much color, love it!

{Berry Sweet Thoughts}

Good morning friends! I am happy to report that the sun is shining and it is nice and cool outside. It was SO humid over the weekend! Today I am posting  a card that I created using one of my all time favorite patterned papers, Jillibean Soup "Chilled Strawberry". Isn't it just the cutest? I used three different papers to create the layers of the card. The fun stamped frame is the Unity/Jillibean Soup stamp called "Just a Note" that I stamped in SU's Early Espresso. The sentiment is from the A Muse Studio Set "Contemporary Greetings". I machine stitched around all of my layers and finished off the card with ribbon and Prima flowers. I created my card using this weeks sketch (and my first time to play along) from The Sweet Stop.

{Somewhere Over the Rainbow}

Hello and welcome to my blog! I hope you are having a good day! Today I am posting a card that I was inspired and challenged to create in this weeks challenge at  Moxie Fab World "Tissue Paper Magic".  After sitting at my craft table with a few sheets of tissue paper in front of me it came to me...how about a rainbow! When I started out I had no idea if this would even work, but as you can see from my card it did, and the results are ah-mazing! To create my tissue paper rainbow I cut several strips of white packing tissue about 1 inch wide. Next I chose 6 colors from my new A Muse Studio pigment ink: papaya, grass, orange, sky, and blackberry. I applied the ink to my strips of tissue paper using make-up wedges. I get them at the Dollar Store and cut them in half so I'm ok with throwing them away after using them.  I let the rainbow strips dry for a bit and then I began twisting them into shape. I used sticky tape to apply one color band at a time and using a twisting motion I created the color band.  The sentiment is from A Muse Studio as well as the pretty swallow die cuts that I added to my card. I cut them out in 2 colors to add a bit of depth. Those pretty dies come in two sizes and at only 5.95 for the set ya can't beat the price! I added glimmery brads to the corners and finished off the cards with lots of buttons to form the billowy clouds at the end of the rainbow. I had so much fun making this card and will be using tissue paper in my cards in the future. Thank you Moxie Fab World for the awesome challenge! Good Morning and welcome to another week at Cupcake Inspirations! Here is the inspiration picture for this weeks challenge:

 Isn't it just the cutest thing?! This week Cupcake Inspirations is being sponsored by Wild Rose Studio and we were lucky enough to receive an adorable Fergus the dragon stamp to play with for this challenge. These stamps are wonderful!

 My card features the adorable Fergus with Cupcake stamp. I stamped him in black Staz-On ink on watercolor paper and used my SU blender pens and ink to color him. The patterned papers are from the Cosmo Cricket Pixie-licious collection. I think they match the inspiration picture so well, love that! I machine stitched around the card. I used the SU ribbon scallop punch to add the scalloped borders, and bakers twine and a Cosmo Cricket button to finish off the card. The die cut that I stamped the sentiment was created using my Cricut Expression, and SCAL software. The sentiment is from the SU set "A Word For You". I had so much fun creating this card....really! Today I am playing along with a few challenges:

{To a Wild Rose}

   

 Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I am happy to show you a card made with the stamp set "Wild Rose" by A Muse Studios. I have wanted this set from the very first time I looked at the catalog! I sponged the rose with Shell, and Cherry pigment inks. This is my favorite way to use the A Muse pigment inks. The inks blend so beautifully. LOVE them. I cut two stamped roses out and attached them to the card with foam dots. I stamped the wrought iron border stamp using "Slate" ink. I did not have any A Muse light pink ribbon yet so I cut off a length of taffeta ribbon and sponged it with Shell pigment ink. Oh my goodness I am SO happy with the result. Now I will always have matchy ribbon! The pretty butterflies are also from A Muse. I included all 3 sizes in my picture so you could get an idea of how big/small they are. These are my first butterfly metal dies and I am so happy I waited to get them. They are 8.95 for all three sizes  and compared to the other butterfly dies available I think that is a great price. I accented my butterflies with sparky rhinestones. I am extremely happy with the way my card turned out and I am already thinking of my next card using this set! Hello and welcome to my blog! I hope you are having a nice Monday. We are having  a quiet day after having a busy weekend. Today I created an Easter card using an adorable digital image from Pink Cat Studios. I colored the image with promarkers. Thanks to Cyndi from The Scrappy Chick Boutique I had some new paper to play with today, the "Salt Air" collection from Cosmo Cricket. I machine stitched around my layers added SU ribbon, and finished off the card with the sentiment from A Muse Studios "Essential Sentiments", and roses from Recollections. I paper pieced my balloons to add some dimension to the card. I'm happy with the way my card turned out! Today I am playing along with a handful of challenges:

{Clean And Simple Wedding Cards}

 Today I am playing along with the Paper Crafts Wedding Cards Gallery Challenge and today  I am posting two cards I made for the challenge!  My first card features LOTS of A Muse Studios goodness, stamps, ink, and ribbon. I know I keep saying this but in the words of Susan Opel creative editor of Paper Crafts Magazine I puffy love Amuse Studios pigment ink, believe, just try it once and you will be hooked! I put in an order and will be receiving some A Muse happy mail next week and I can't wait to show ya! For this card I used stamps from the A Muse sets "Beautiful Botanicals 2" and "Essential Sentiments". I shadow stamped the leaf "frond" in two pigment inks, French Roast, and Latte. I accented the image with a few rhinestone sparklies, and finished off the card with A Muse french roast stitched ribbon. I love this simple card, and it would be an easy one to make several of. For me it is nice to take a break from cards filled with embellishments and layers.

 My next card features stamps from PaperTrey Ink and the same A Muse sentiment from my first card. I used the PTI Anniversary set from 2008. Love all of the pattern elements of this set. I stamped the image several times to create the patterned paper using A Muse Studios Currant pigment ink.  I accented the centers with rhinestones. I used my 100 yard role of offray vanilla satin ribbon. I will never run out of this ribbon. LOL. I bought it at the Offray ribbon outlet in Hagerstown MD for $2. Craziness. I added a nice scalloped border with my Martha Stewart punch and finished off the card with the sentiment stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Again, another simple card that would be easy to duplicate. I hope I inspire you to create your own clean and simple cards! Today I am playing along with a handful of challenges:

{Easter Chicks}

Good Afternoon and welcome to my blog! I hope everyone had a nice weekend, as always ours went by much too quickly. Today I was able to play for a bit in my card room thanks to a couple of sleepy boys and I created this fun shabby-chic Easter card. The chicks are a digital image from Pink Cat Studios. I colored them with Pro-Markers and cut them out with my Cutterbee paper snips. The beautiful patterned paper is the new "Kitch" collection by Girls Paperie. I bought the 6x6 sampler pack from Claudia and Company. I really love the sampler packs. I never make it thru an entire paper pad, so the samplers are perfect for me. Anyways, I cut the paper into 4  squares and matted them with GP white card stock. I then used my Janome to add the zig-zag stitching around all 4 pieces. I then attached them to a Kraft card base. The nice Nestabilities-like shape was cut out using my Cricut and SCAL software. I attached the chicks with foam dots and added the vintage lace and bow. I thought pearls would be a fun way to accent the border of the large shape, and then I added the pretty mini rosettes from Michael's Recollections collection. I added a pearl accent below the roses also. The Easter sentiment is from  A Muse Studios.
