12 Days of Holiday Projects Day #11 - Blinga-ling

                                                        rs

Wow, I can't believe that tomorrow is the last day of the Holiday Project Blog Hop! I have really enjoyed sharing my Christmas cards and tags with you. You should have arrived here from the blog of the talented Regina Hardy. If you are just now joining us then you will want to start HERE.

Today I have a very glittery card to share with you that I created for the Papertrey Ink Make It Monday - Layered Glitter Shapes Challenge.

day11mim

I decided to play with my "tinsel" today, and I can tell you I made a MESS! I used red sticky tape in two sizes as my adhesive. The pretty glitter embellishment was made using the PTI stamp set "Snowflake Flurries"  and matching dies. Super fun! The sentiment is from the PTI set "Happiest Of Holidays".  I wanted to step outside of the box today and show you something different, I hope you like it! It glitters much better in person. ;0)  Thank you for visiting today and I hope you have a  great day!

12 Days Of Holiday Projects Day #10

day10-2

I am a little late to the party, and I am sorry but the day just got away from me. My card today features the Papertrey Ink stamp set "Peaceful Pinecone". I kept this card pretty CAS, the kraft damask paper is by The Paper Studio by Hobby Lobby, and the pine branch, and sentiment were stamped on PTI Rustic Cream. Thank you for visiting my blog today and I hope you have a nice evening!

Ok, this is different for me right? Well, these adorable "Smiley Happy Critters Set One" December New Release stamps are SO cute, I wanted to make sure this guy was the star of the card! They are fun to color, and can be used for any occasion, well, almost any occasion. ;0)  Make sure you check back December 12th for the YNS December Release Blog Hop. Thanks for the visit!

Cloud9 Blog Hop - Peace And Joy

Hello! I knew I wanted to play along with the December Cloud9 Blog Hop, and I was positive I wanted to play when I saw the inspiration pictures! I decided to use both!

Here is my card!

cloud9

I used three WPlus9 stamp sets to make this card, "Country Charm,  "Iconic Christmas", and "Background Builders: Hearts". I thought it would be fun to stamp a non-traditional Christmas card, but just enough to make it festive! I took my inspiration from the colors, hearts, needlepoint pattern, and the wood grain of the chairs. I added a bit of twine in a fun, out of the box way, and finished off the card with a button. I really love this fun card!  Thank you for visiting my blog today and I hope you have a great day!

12 Days Of Holiday Projects Day #9 - Wishing You Peace

day9-2

Hello and welcome to Day #9 of our 12 Days Of Christmas Projects blog hop! I hope you have enjoyed what you have seen thus far, I know I had a good time making them! You should have arrived here from the blog of the talented Regina Hardy. If you are just now joining us then you will want to start HERE.

Now let me tell ya about my card today!

day9-1

To create this card I used the Papertrey Ink stamp sets ""Snowflake Medley", and "Happiest Of Holidays". I went with a "blue" them and used my Fresh Ink, and A Muse Studio pigment ink pads.

I don't know if you have noticed but today, and yesterday I posted pictures of my cards that I took with my NEW camera!!
I have wanted a DSLR for YEARS, seriously, for at least 5 years, and this year as an Anniversary/Christmas present my darling Husband gave me the green light in picking out a camera, so I chose I Nikon D3200. It is just a beginner DSLR, but holy smokes I can't believe the pictures it can take! I am in love.  It makes my cards look so much better, lol, and I fear my "mishaps" will show up that much clearer as well. hah!  Anyways. I am so glad you stopped by today, and I hope you have a wonderful day!

12 Days Of Holiday Projects Day #8 - Homespun

day7-2

Hello and welcome to Day #8 of our 12 Days Of Christmas Projects blog hop! I hope you have enjoyed what you have seen thus far, I know I had a good time making them! You should have arrived here from the blog of the talented Regina Hardy. If you are just now joining us then you will want to start HERE.

                                                                   Here is my card!

day7

To make this card I used three Papertrey Ink stamp sets "Love Lives Here: Holiday", "Stitched Sentiments" and "Stitches and Swirls". I have a "stitching" theme going on with this card! I wanted the patterned tree from LLH to look more like a stitched image so I stamped the teeny tiny cross stitch stamp from Stitched Sentiment all around the tree. It took a little extra time, but it was so easy and I love the way it turned out! I embossed a piece of Rustic Cream card stock with the PTI  "Linen/Canvas" impression plate. I am also playing along with this weeks Papertrey Ink: Make It Monday - Detail Glitter Technique. I stamped the small heart from LLH: Holiday, and used my Quickie glue pen to fill in the heart, next I sprinkled them with Dazzling Diamonds glitter. Fun!   I hope you like my card and I am so glad you stopped by today! Have a wonderful weekend!

12 Days Of Holiday Projects Day #7 - Deck The Halls

day7-2

Hello and welcome to Day #7 of our 12 Days Of Christmas Projects blog hop! I hope you have enjoyed what you have seen thus far, I know I had a good time making them! You should have arrived here from the blog of the talented Regina Hardy. If you are just now joining us then you will want to start HERE.

Today I am excited to show you a couple of ornaments I created!

day7

Once again I used one of my favorite Christmas sets this year (they change every year) "Iconic Christmas" by Wplus9. I bought these ornaments at Dollar General, traced and cut out the card stock and stamped it. I finished them off by adding a red satin bow. These are bright red but came out sort of rusty colored in the pictures.  Here is the other ornament I made.

day7-3

Aren't they pretty? They are super easy to make, and would be sweet gifts for friends and family. Thank you for visiting my blog today, and thank you to all who have faithfully commented the previous 6 days. I really do appreciate it, and when this is all over I just might have a little something up my sleeve, so stay tuned to day #12. hehe.   Have a great day!

The Play Date Cafe - Happiest Of Holidays

PDCCDec6-2

Welcome to this weeks challenge at The Play Date Cafe! This week we have a beautiful, soft color combination:

Mountain Top, Icy Blue, Snowflake

We also have a fantastic sponsor this week:

Cricut Cartridges

pdccdec6-3

To create my card I used the Wplus9 stamp set "Iconic Christmas" .This set is just so pretty! I stamped and fussy cut out the trees, and stamped the snow/stars background in a triangle shape. I didn't want to over-do it by stamping the pattern on the entire card. Now, one of my favorite things about this card is my embossed background! Creating it was a fluke...I was trying to die cut a piece of burlap ribbon, but my metal die just wasn't going to cut it. But, much to  my surprise, the burlap left a beautiful impression on one of my card stock "shimmies".  I was pretty excited!  So now if I want to emboss just the center of my card stock I will use my burlap ribbon! Thank you for visiting my blog and I hope you will play along with us this week at The Play Date Cafe!

Check back later for my 12 Days of Christmas Day #6 post!

12 Days Of Holiday Projects - Day #4

day#4-2

Hello and welcome to Day #4 of our 12 Days Of Christmas Projects blog hop! I really hope you have enjoyed looking at all of the wonderful projects these ladies have made, I know I had a good time making them! You should have arrived here from the blog of the talented Regina Hardy. If you are just now joining us then you will want to start HERE.  Here is the card I created for day #4:

day#4

My cards have been pretty "busy" the last couple of days so today I thought I would show you a simple card that would be easy to re-create. I used the A Muse Studio stamp set "Winter Stag". I stamped the stag using French Roast pigment ink (A Muse Studio) and used a blender pen to spread out the color. Easy peasy! The button is from the Papertrey Ink "Rustic" collection. I love these buttons!! The paper is from a Holiday Kraft patterned paper stack from The Paper Studio by Hobby Lobby.  I am glad you stopped by today and I really hope you have been enjoying my Christmas cards!
