The Craft's Meow January Release Preview Day #1 - Beautiful Hymns

       Hello and welcome to Day #1 of The Craft's Meow January New Release Preview! Today we are showcasing cards using the new set designed by Nina B Designs "Beautiful Hymns". This set has such beautiful verses, and is a great set for sympathy, encouragement, or thinking of you cards. 

    I chose a "nautical" theme for my card, and kept it simple.  I have to say I enjoyed using my little dew drops, they are just so pretty and remind me of a row of sea glass.  My paper is from Echo Park, and I stamped an image from the set on a wooden button to add a little extra somethin'.

The Play Date Cafe # 165 - Love

  Hello and welcome to The Play Date Cafe! Today we have another beautiful color story:

Plum...Mustard....Rose

Here is what I created for this weeks challenge:

To create my beautiful floral bouquet I used the Stampin Up set " Stippled Blossoms". The patterned paper is by Simple Stories. I added texture using the Aida Impression plate from PTI, and the Filigree border die, also from PTI. The sentiment is by Hero Arts. I truly loved the way my card turned out, and I hope it helps to inspire you to play along with us this week at The Play Date Cafe!

The Rainbow Connection

  When I hear the word "rainbow" I instantly think of Kermit, sitting on a rock, strumming his banjo. Ahhh, the good ol' days! I love rainbows, I always have and when I saw this weeks Papertrey Ink Make It Monday I was excited to play along!  I also wanted to play along with the Moxie Fab World 75 Creative Cards Challenge - Create Your Own Background challenge I. Love.This.Card! Yes, it was a bit labor intensive, but the end result is so pretty! I used the PTI Sheet Music Background Basics set, and using a sponge, I daubed ink on the stamp for each color, stamped, and repeated the process 2 more times.  I added a sentiment using Think Big Favorites # 12, and a die cut butterfly from the Beautiful Butterflies collection. After I cut my card stock I ran it through my crimper. I finished off my card with a Plum Pudding button tied with twine from The Twinery! Since I had all my inks out, I stamped two more cards and will get those finished and posted in the next couple of days.  Thank you so much for stopping by!

                                                                                  

Runway Inspired - Thinking Of You

    I had a little bit of extra time this morning, and thought I would play along with this weeks Runway Inspired Challenge. I am really into "blue" this week, and really wanted to make a card using this inspiration picture:

I used a beautiful set from Papertrey Ink "Botanical Silhouettes". If you look closely at my card you will see that I did shadow stamping on the blooms, and stems. I love the soft touch it added to the image. I kept this card simple, with stamping being the focus of my card. I love it! Thank you for visiting today and I hope you have a wonderful day!

 To create my card  I used the Papertrey Ink stamp set "Lovely Leaves", and the Unity Stamp Co set "Empowered Words".  The patterned paper is by Crate Paper. ( It is a rainy overcast day today, so my flowers look lighter then they really are.) Tasty Tuesday With Your Next Stamp!

       This picture is super cute, and was a lot of fun to work with. Here is the card I created for the challenge:

I used one of our adorable new release stamp sets "Smiley Happy Critter Crew". I found the perfect patterned paper in an old Martha Stewart paper pad I have been holding onto for a few years, and I am so glad I did!  I finished off my card with stitching, and a fun pink polka dot bow! One More Time - Always

    Hello friends. I still had my adorable Avery Elle stamps on my desk, and an idea in my head, so I whipped up another card for the Avery Elle  AEI<3u challenge="challenge">  I used the AE stamp set "Lots of Love". I used 3 colors of Fresh, and A Muse Studio pigment ink  Limeade, and  French Lavender by Fresh Ink, and Ocean by A Muse Studio. I stamped a pretty heart themed pattern, and accented 3 of the hearts with matching buttons, and floss. Now let me show you what I created!

  I loved making that flower! I cut out 6 small circles of felt and stitched them together to create the flower. Super simple, and so cute! The sentiment is from the PTI set "Purls of Wisdom". I added a strip of champagne colored vintage lace, and finished off the card by rounding, and sanding the edges.
