Papertrey Ink Anniversary Day #8 - Watercolors!

FEB12PTI-1

Hello! Today I am back again with a set of cards I created using a watercoloring technique, which is what Nicole challenged us to create for  today's Papertrey Ink Anniversary Day #8 Challenge! I am in LOVE with this technique, and I hope you will try it once you see just how easy it is!

FEB12PTI-3

1.  Find a wide piece of lace. The larger the eyelet holes the better.
2. Attach the lace to your card base (I used PTI Stampers Select white) as tight as you can by taping it to the back of your card base.
3.  Using a clear sealant spray, give the lace a nice solid go-ver. It doesn't take long to dry, and when it does remove your lace. (I used the same piece on all 3 of my cards. )
4. Spray the card liberally with the water based spray mist of your choice. I used Tattered Angels. Wipe away the excess mist and set aside to dry.
I repeated the same process for the next 2 cards.
5. Allow to dry for an hour or so.

Finally add your sentiment, my sentiments are from the PTI set "Beautiful Butterflies". I added machine stitching, and ribbon, and a button to each card. I. Love. These. Cards!!

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

I can't stop using these colors! This time I added a neutral, black. I had a few left over roses and leaves from my first card so I created a second one. I used the chicken wire background stamp from the PTI set Background Basics: Farm And Barn, and a decorative scroll stamp from the PTI set Mat Stack 5 collection.  I hope you like it, and I'm happy you stopped by! Have a wonderful day!

Papertrey Ink "Wrap It Up" Challenge

PTIFEB6

Burlap, I  just LOVE burlap! I bought a huge roll from Hobby Lobby around Christmas time and I love using it every  chance I  get. Today I am playing along with the PTI "Wrap It" challenge. The challenge is to create a wrapped item using a Pinterest picture as inspiration. Here is my inspiration:

Beautiful, isn't it?

I wrapped, and decorated a PTI stamp case using one of my favorite sets "The Sweet Life". I stamped my roses in shades of orange. I created a matching set of cards to go along with it. Here is a close up of one of the cards:

PDCCFeb7

To create my card I used the Avery Elle set "Lots of Love". I stamped the hearts in a ribbon of colors, and finished off the card by stamping the sentiment. I mounted my card on a black card base. I am loving using black card stock on my cards lately.  I'm happy you stopped by and I hope you will play along with us this week at The Play Date Cafe!!

The Craft's Meow February Blog Hop! Hugs and Kisses

TCMFebHop1rs

Hello and welcome to The Craft's Meow February Blog Hop! You should have arrived here for the super sweet and talented Sharri.
Our theme this month is Valentine/Love. To create my card I used two sentiment stamps from "Valentine Wishes".

Valentine Wishes

This is such a sweet stamp set! Here is my card!

TCMFebHop1

I kept this one pretty simple, I used two sentiment stamps, the second a light pink XO in the middle of the main sentiment. I used my KNK Zing to cut out my hearts, and then I embossed them using two different folders. I added lines of zig zag stitching to the centers. My patterned paper is by Doodlebug Designs!  I used black card stock as my card base - LOVE!  I hope you like my card! Alas I am the last stop on the hop, but if you are just now joining us you can click HERE and start at the beginning at one of our amazing new designers, Clare Buswell!  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!!

A Change of Pace

I have been so busy posting design team projects (which I LOVE), today I did a little bit of stamping for my own pleasure, and this is what I came up with! I have been seeing so many beautiful cards with multi stamped backgrounds, I wanted to try my hand at it, and I am thrilled with the end result! To create my card I used the PTI set "Lovely Layers", and for the beautiful scrolls, I used the Waltzing Mouse set "Fancy Flourishes & Scallops and Dots". This is my first time using that set! I stamped the pieces to my layered flower,, pieced them together, and then stamped multiple scrolls and flourishes using the same colors as the flower. I enjoyed stamping this so very much, and I hope that you like it! Today I am also entering this into the Moxie Fab World 75 Creative Card Challenges - Stamp your own background paper challenge!
