Photography 101 And Some Blog C-A-N-D-Y

GT3rs

I recently asked for advice for photography help from my friend Joscelyne Cutchens, and her pointers were #1- Use a tripod. #2 Take pictures in full sun #3 Use a filter   I feel like my pictures are hit and miss, so yesterday we had a nice sunny day, and I took pictures using a new pedestal I picked up at Target. I will be using it for all of my Christmas cards, and maybe beyond! I LOVE the way this picture turned out!  To create my card I used the beautiful stamp set from WPlus9 - Woodland Wreaths. I love multi-step stamping, and the beautiful results you achieve. I used the Mama Elephant stitched frame die to create my embossed stitching around my white card layer. The red patterned paper card base is paper I have been hoarding for over 5 years from Stampin Up. I'm glad I saved it because it was exactly what I was looking for when I put this card together!

So what do you think, do you give this new photo set up a thumbs up? I have some current Christmas product from My Minds Eye, and Pink Paisely to share  with one lucky commenter from this post!

I am happy you stopped by and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Looks wonderful! My blog is going to be sad for the next few months....hard to get full sunlight during the winter!

I have a light box, and sometimes I like it and sometimes I don't. You card is so nice and soft and wonderful. Great photo, too.

Great card and your photo looks fabulous. I use a photo tent as here in Minnesota we don't get much sun in the winter which can last up to 6 months.
What kind of a filter would you use? I am always looking for tips on taking better photos of my cards.
