{Caring Thoughts - The Play Date Cafe Challenge #138}
Hello friends! Today I am here to show you a card for this weeks challenge at The Play Date Cafe!
Wow, the colors this week were a real challenge for me! I used a pink but it just didn't show up well in my picture. To create my card I used one of the sets I received in my Stamping Royalty prize package from Kitchen Sink Stamps. This was my first time to use anything from KSS and they are wonderful! I stamped each petal 4 times and cut them out. I placed the flower center on my card first and then built the petals around it. I love the way it turned out! The sentiment is from Hero Arts, and the music back ground is by Glitz Design. I hope you like my card and as always thank you for visiting my blog!

{Believe In Your Dreams}
Hello! I am excited to show you a card I created with two of my favorite challenges in mind: The Playdate Cafe
Lawnscaping Challenge:
To create my card I used the Lawn Fawn stamp set "Flutter By". I colored the flowers in three shades of blue. And I do have to say I have never used such dark colors of blue to color a flower, but I love it! The fun hexigon tag is a cutting file I purchased from A Little Hut. If you have a die cut machine and you have not been to this website then you are in for a treat! After I colored the flowers I heat embossed them using clear powder. The patterned paper is from Echo Park. To finish my card I added a dark blue velvet bow. I hope you like my card and I do appreciate your visit to my blog. Have a wonderful day!

{Papertrey Ink June Blog Hop #2}
I enjoyed working with these colors so much I created two cards for this months Papertrey Ink Blog Hop! (I hope you can do that!) Here is the June color inspiration:
I used Lovely Layers, and Text background basics to create my card. It is difficult to tell from the picture but I heat embossed the green background using clear powder. It is much prettier in person! I stamped my gray card layer using Text Background Basics, next I embossed it using the Linen/Canvas Impression plate. Thank you for visiting me today and I hope you have a nice day!

Good morning! Yesterday I received my PTI new release package and I couldn't wait to get inky! The first set I wanted to try out was the
ackground basics "Rainbows". Now I admit I added this to my cart at the very last minute but wow, I am SO glad I did! This was for me the easiset PTI background set to line up. Easy peasy! I stamped it in two shades of pigment ink, Ocean by A Muse Studio, and Island by Fresh Ink. The sentiment is from the new release by PTI "Lovely Layers". As you can see from my picture the sentiment fits perfectly with the photo finishers dies!! The flower was created with a Lori Whitlock cutting file and my KNK Zing. I hope you like my card and thank you for visiting my blog today!

Hello Friends! Welcome to Fun Friday with Your Next Stamp! Today I am happy to show you a card I created using "Seasonal Fairies". This set is so so cute! I colored my fairy with pigment ink and blender pens. I added diamond Stickles to her wings to make them pop! The super cute felt flowers are from Stampin Up. And that leads me to my Fun Friday Tip!
Adding felt embellishments along with stamped images is a fun way to add depth, and color to your creations. Felt is very popular right now. I have seen lots of it on display at Michael's and Hobby Lobby!
Please make sure to visit the YNS Design Team members playing along with this weeks Fun Friday. Thank you for visiting me today and I hope you have a great weekend!

{One More Time}
Hello Friends! I am here with one more card that I created for this weeks Play Date Cafe challenge! In case you have not seen them here they are:
To create my card I used the WPlus9 set "Fresh Picked". When I ordered the set I thought to myself "Well, it won't be a big deal to fussy cut all the berries and pieces, I don't need the dies." Let me tell ya, by the time I cut out the 3rd berry, I TOTALLY regretted not buying the matching dies. So, yes, I will be ordering them this week. This card took me two days to make! I used a dark purple pigment ink cube by Studio G to stamp the blackberries, and the doily was stamped using Pale Plum from Stampin Up. I am sooooo happy with the way my card turned out! Thank you for visiting my blog and I hope you have a great week!

{You Inspire Me}
Oh boy what a week! This week has touched every spectrum of emotion and thankfully is currently on the happy side. I received very happy (and surprising) mail from Paige at Create: Cards magazine and I have 8 cards being picked up! 7 of my cards will be in the special Christmas issue, and 1 card will be in the Nov/Dec issue! I am thrilled. Thank you for letting me share!
Before I get to the winner of my blog candy let me tell you a little about the card I am posting today. It was love at first site when I saw this set from Lawn Fawn "Flutter By". I love butterflies and flower stamps! So when I received my package yesterday I couldn't wait to use this set! Right away I knew I wanted to use the current Play Date Cafe challenge:
Oh so beautiful! To create my card I used Blackberry, and Currant Pigment ink by A Muse Studio, and a pretty little pigment ink pad by Studio G. To create my flowers I stamped them in Staz On ink, and used a SU Blender pen and the ink from my pigment ink pads to add color. I LOVE the deep, rich color you achieve when coloring with pigment ink pads! I hand stitched my burlap layer using blackberry DMC floss, and stamped the sentiment using Onyx Black Versafine. I LOVE the way my card turned out, such bold, vibrant color. The PDC picks such beautiful colors and it is always a pleasure using them!
Now for the winner of my set of six Fresh Ink Pigments! First let me say thank you to everyone that left a comment, I appreciate them all!

{Thanks For Sticking By Me}
Good Morning! The Zalis house is up bright and early this morning getting ready for a little two day trip to Hot Springs, Ark. Today I am here to show you a card I created with a couple of challenges in mind, CAS-ual Fridays C56 - Sweet Spot and the amazing stamp company Market Street Stamps. I am putting my card into the Cream of the Crop June Contest!
To create my card I used the MS stamp set "Gone Campin'. Oh my GOSH I love this adorable set! I colored the images using promarkers and copics. If you look closely you can see that my marshmallows have been lightly "toasted". Although I do admit I prefer a bit more char on my marshmallows. lol. I added a polka dot border from the PTI set "Polka Dot Basics". The red stitched ribbon is by Offray, and from the Wal Mart fabrics department.
I hope you like my card and if you haven't already be sure to put your name in the hat to win 6 beautiful Fresh Ink Pigment Ink Pads from Impress Rubber Stamps.

{Hello Sunshine - PDCC135}
Hello! Today I am excited to show you a card I created for this weeks Play Date Cafe Challenge featuring these colors:
To create my card I used a super cute stamp set from Technique Tuesday "Summer". This is such a cute set. I can't wait to use it again! (Just a fair warning, hehe.) I created my sandy beach free handed using my Fiskars craft knife. I accented the ripples with machine stitching. I used my KNK Zing and a cutting file to create my ocean waves. I stamped and cut out the chair and umbrella stand, and the umbrella itself was paper pieced using the Echo Park This and That collection. I really did enjoy making this card! Thank you for visiting my blog and be sure to check out this post for your chance to win a fabby blog giveaway I am hosting!

{Friendship Flowers}
Hello! Today I am posting a card using colors I don't usually reach for, but when I saw this patterned paper in my new DCWV paper pad I fell in LOVE. I love the classic, vintage feel of this paper, it reminds me of sheets and pillow cases my Great Grandmother had on her beds when we would spend the night at her house when I was a little girl. *sigh*. Such great memories. The beautiful stamp set I used is "Hope Seed Co." by WPlus9. If you have not ordered from this company I highly recommend it! I stitched my back panel using my Janome Sew Mini, and to give my card an extra touch of vintage I covered the panel with vintage lace. I colored my flower using Promarkers. If you look closely you will see that I fussy cut a few pieces of the flower to give it a 3-d effect. The button is from the Fine Linen button collection by PTI. I am playing along with a couple of challenges today:

{YNS Fun Friday!}
Howdy! I am back with a card for this weeks YNS (Your Next Stamp) Fun Friday! To create my summer themed card I used one of our new die sets "Cheers! Stamp and Die set". It is your lucky day because it is on sale in the YNS store! Yay! To create my card I used my new Zig Writer Pigment markers to color my "beverage", I'll call it pink lemonade. hehe. Which leads me to my Fun Friday tip!
Using pigment markers is a great way to achieve rich, deep color on images to be colored. It is also fantastic when applied directly to your stamp! YNS red rubber holds the color beautifully by the way.
I thank you for visiting my blog today and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!!

{Summer Birthday and A Blog Giveaway!!}
Hello! Today I am here to show you a card I created for a couple of challenges, the June Hero Arts Contest, and this weeks Color Q Challenge# 140. I used A Muse Studio and Fresh Ink Pigment ink pads along with the Hero Arts set "Many Dots", and "Happiness Messages". Everything on my card is stamped except for the large lime-ade polka dot circle in the middle. That is from the Dots and Stripes collection from Echo Park.
I finished off my card with machine stitching, and I ran the entire card base through my Cuttlebug using the PTI Linen/Canvas Impression plate. Here is the sketch I used:
